The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee moved the motion in the Lok Sabha for setting up of the JPC to look into the telecom policy pursued from 1998 to 2009 and to investigate 2G spectrum scam.


The report will be submitted at the end of Monsoon Session in September.
The Committee will make recommendations to ensure formulation of appropriate procedures for implementation of laid down policy in the allocation and pricing of telecom licences.

The JPC will consist of 30 members out of which 15 will be from the UPA and 15 from the Opposition.
The Committee will have 20 members from the Lok Sabha and 10 Rajya Sabha MPs.

Among the Lok Sabha MPs who will be part of the committee, eight are from Congress and four from BJP.

What is the meaning of compoundable offence or crime?
Compounding in simple terms understand it means compromise.
The compounding of the offence signifies that the person against whom the offence has
Been committed has received some gratification, to act as an inducement for his desiring to abstain from a prosecution.
A criminal offence is regarded as a crime against the state, and the victim or the complainant has no right to withdraw the complaint.
But certain offences which are not of serious nature are allowed to be compounded.
Compounding has same effect as acquittal from the charges.



Suresh Baboo V/s State of U.P. 1947 (2) JT (SC) 361 in which permission to compound in non-compoundable offence was granted.

Nowadays 498A is also declared as compoundable by SC

Criminal Procedure Code –
Section 320 - Compounding of offences.
The offences punishable under the sections of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) specified in
The first two columns of the Table next following may be compounded by the persons mentioned in the third column of that Table.

(2) The offences punishable under the sections of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) specified in

On March 5, 1997 the convicts Baldev Singh, Gurmail Singh and Hardeep Singh
Gang raped the victim in Punjab's Ludhiana district.

After that the session’s court had awarded 10 years imprisonment to the convicts.
Under Section 376(G) of the IPC, the minimum sentence to the gang rapists is 10 years, which may extend even to life imprisonment.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court had dismissed the convicts' appeal, following which they appealed in the Supreme Court.

After this the 3 rapist appealed in the Supreme Court of India.


This is not new Supreme Court of India has in past also allowed to compound the offences which were not mentioned in the list of offences.


But this is a Gang rape, rape how can it be compounded?

A bench of justices Markandeya Katju and Gyan Sudha Mishra reduced to three and half years the 10-year sentence awarded to three gang rapists who took the plea that both the convicts and the victim were now happily married to different people and "wanted to live peacefully."

Supreme Court agreed to let them off provided the convicts paid Rs 50,000 each to the victim.
Supreme Court ordered that "the amount shall be paid to the victim within three months", failing which the same shall be recovered under the Land Revenue Act from the trio and paid to the victim.

The offence of Gang Rape was committed 15 years back,

Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied.

Do not know but I did not like the idea of letting go of criminals, rapist by paying money and compromising the crime with the victim.

Normally the verdicts, judgment given by the Supreme Court of India are followed by lower courts of India.

Now the question is suppose tomorrow session court also starts to grant the compounding in offences of Gang Rape?

Is it not possible?

Does the crime of Gang Rape become Compoundable offence after this judgment of Supreme Court?

former Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee general secretary Lalit Bhanot and former director general VK Verma were arrested by the CBI in connection with irregularities in the Rs 107 crore time-keeping contract awarded to Swiss company Omega for the Games.


Swiss company Omega provided equipments which were used to keep time during different sports events in October 2010.

Both men have been charged with the intent to cheat and criminal conspiracy.
Bhanot has been booked by the probe agency under sections 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) of IPC and various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, along with Switzerland-based firm Swiss Timing Ltd and other unknown persons.

The Organizing Committee got bidding from two companies, Omega and MS Spain
Organizing Committee chose to go with Omega even though the price quoted by the Swiss company Omega was almost double the price from other bidders.

"It is alleged that the accused officers abused their official position and entered into criminal conspiracy with a Switzerland-based company and other unknown persons to cheat the government in awarding contract to the said company for acquiring Timing, Scoring and Result (TSR) System at exorbitant rates of Rs. 107 crore thereby causing huge loss to the government," a CBI spokesperson said.

In another development
K U K Reddy, s senior official of the Commonwealth Organizing Committee and Praveen Bakshi, Director of a private company, was today sent to five days of CBI custody by a Delhi court in connection with alleged irregularities in overlays supply.

Reddy, Additional Director General of Commonwealth Games Organising Committee and Bakshi, Director of ESA JV, was booked on the charge of bribery.

CBI submitted Bakshi has paid a huge bribe to the officials of the organizing committee in return for getting contracts at exorbitant rates.

"I am satisfied that the prayer for 5-day police custody remand of both the accused is just. Accordingly, both the accused are remanded to police custody till February 28," Special CBI judge O P Saini said.

Media has reported that Suresh Kalmadi will be arrested after the conclusion of National Games in Jharkhand on February 26.

As per Reports Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust has property worth more than Rs 1,000 crore in Hardwar alone.

These include a 300-bed multi specialty hospital, a yoga research centre, a university, an ayurvedic pharmacy, a food park and a cosmetics manufacturing unit.


Swami Ramdev is even reported to have acquired a Scottish isle for about £ 2 million a few years ago to set up a wellness retreat.
According to unconfirmed reports, Patanjali Yogpeeth has also acquired major stakes in the Aastha TV channel.

Ramdev's business empire includes hospitals, wellness centres, colleges, and of course herbal products. His trusts are worth Rs 1,100 Crore (Rs 11 billion).

The centre at Haridwar is spread over 600 acres and includes a university.

Ramdev has a sales revenue Rs 25 Crore (Rs 250 million) every month from the sale of medicines.
According to business standard the sale of books and CDs amount to Rs 2 to 3 Crore (Rs 20-30 million)

The 500-acre food park at Haridwar has been set up with an investment of Rs 500 Crore (Rs 5 billion).

Ramdev Baba has been gifted 95 acres of land near Houston in the United States.



As per Baba Ramdev he has never got any land from government of India.

India needs more People like Baba Ramdev who talk about Politics.

Every Indian Saint needs to become like Baba Ramdev, interested in politics and interested in growth of India.

A true saint is one who talks freely and openly about his king.
In democracy Prime Minister and ruling party enjoys the status of King.

Congress should bring the good laws, good amendments then automatically everyone will start to praise the government and ruling party.

Any educated man will say and accept
If compared Baba Ramdev with any politician, Baba Ramdev is superior to any politician of India.

I hope very soon Baba Ramdev and his trust will declare all the properties owned by their trust.

India needs more people like Baba Ramdev, think for a second what Baba Ramdev openly says, we common people can not even dare to say it in public.

So you may or may not like Baba Ramdev, but we have to support him.
For the national cause.
For India.

Now again what will happen,
Our politicians know the trick of divide and rule, now Saints good or bad will start fight with Baba Ramdev and they will not stay united.

Thus power of Saints will get reduced. And who will be beneficiary,
Beneficiary will be a politician and political parties.

We have to support any person who talks about bringing new good laws, new good amendments to our law.

Bring Black money, Make strict laws against corruption, and stop the use of currency notes of 500 and 1000 Indian Rupees

Nothing is wrong in above demands; in past I have also written articles regarding not to use the currency notes of 500 or 1000.

Every Educated person knows whenever black money is found it’s in form of 500 or 1000 Rs. Notes.

The problem is now Baba is talking about forming Political party and he is getting huge support.

Thus everyone is afraid of Baba.

I Hope more and more Babas, Gurus and Sadus and Saints good or bad everyone enters into Politics.

We need to increase competition among politicians and political parties.

What is the meaning of Cereal?
Which food is called as cereal?

Cereal is defined as
Grass such as wheat, oats, or corn, the starchy grains of which are used as food. The grain of such a grass. A food prepared from any of these plants, especially a breakfast food made from commercially processed grain.
Any grass that produces an edible grain, such as oat, rye, wheat, rice, maize, sorghum, and millet


A grass, such as corn, rice, sorghum, or wheat, whose starchy grains are used as food. Cereals are annual plants, and cereal crops must be reseeded for each growing season.

In short Cereal is a type of breakfast food prepared from such grain.
Cereal or grain is a member of the grass plant family, with starchy seeds used for food. Common cereals are: wheat, rice, rye, oats, barley, corn (maize), and sorghum.

Cereals are used for both human and animal food.
Breakfast cereal is given or served with milk early in the morning before sending kids to extra classes or school.
Cereal is very popular breakfast food in America and has started to become very popular around the globe.

A breakfast cereal is usually eaten cold as a ready-to-eat meal and mixed with a liquid, such as milk or water exception to the rule are cereals such as oatmeal and porridge, which are eaten hot.

Short History or Invention of Cereal food –

CEREAL is a 6 letter word that starts with C.
First Cereal was invented in year 1829 by clergyman Sylvester Graham, the cereal was called as Graham cracker.
Graham cracker is a slightly sweet, usually rectangular cracker made with whole-wheat flour.

The first packaged breakfast cereal Granula was invented in the United States in 1863 by James Caleb Jackson operator of the Jackson Sanitorium in Dansville, New York
The cereal never became popular; it was far too inconvenient, as the heavy bran nuggets needed soaking overnight before they were tender enough to eat.

The names “Granula” (trademarked by Jackson) and “Granola” (trademarked by Kellogg) were trademarked for foods consisting of “natural herb products crumbled and then baked until crispy.”


In 1860 Seventh-Day Adventists, who also believed in vegetarianism, founded the Western Health Reform Institute in Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Institute was later renamed the Battle Creek Sanitarium after its location in Battle Creek, Michigan.
At this institute, physician John Harvey Kellogg invented several grain-based meat substitutes.
In 1877, John Harvey Kellogg, invented a biscuit made of ground-up wheat, oat, and cornmeal for his patients suffering from bowel problems.
The product was initially also named "Granula", but changed to "Granola" after a lawsuit.
The bookkeeper and manger of the Battle Creek Sanitarium was John's brother, Will Keith Kellogg.
The brothers worked together to develop more grain-based vegetarian options

Accidental Invention of Famous Cereal by Kellogg Brothers –
1894 – Brothers used to make wheatmeal for patients.
To make it, they would run boiled wheat through rollers to create a very thin cracker-type sheet. They would then roast the sheet and grind it into meal.
One night that the brothers left a batch of boiled wheat out and forgot about it.
The next day, they ran it through the rollers to see if the stale wheat would be salvageable once it was ground.
Instead of a unified flat sheet, the wheat came out as flakes
They roasted the flakes and served them to their patients. They had an immediate success on their hands.
Kellogg had invented corn flakes.

In 1894 - Charles William Post started La Vita Inn.
There, he set to work on creating his own chicory coffee substitute and breakfast cereals.
1897 - Later he started to sell his own Granula - we know it today as Grape-nuts - an easier to chew derivative of Dr. James Caleb Jackson's original cereal.
Later he introduced own brand of corn flakes, which he called "Elijah's Manna". The cereal was a big seller... once he changed the name to Post Toasties.

In 1906, Will bought out his brother's portion of the cereal patents and went on to create the Kellogg Company.
Rice Krispies were introduced by Kellogg in 1929.

To avoid confusion with his competitors products, WK Kellogg had his name and signature scripted on each package of Kellogg’s® Corn Flakes along the explanation “The original has this signature"

In 1953, Kellogg's introduced Sugar Smacks, aptly named because it contained 56 percent sugar.

In the 1930s, the first puffed cereal, Kix, went on the market.

1941 - The introduction of the seven-ounce box of Cheerioats was a major event for General Mills."

Quaker Oats man became the first registered breakfast cereal trademark in 1877, breakfast cereals have been synonymous with characters like Tony the Tiger of Kellogg’s, the Trix Rabbit, and Post's Sugar Bear.

Because of Kellogg and Post, the city of Battle Creek, Michigan is nicknamed the "Cereal Capital of the World"

Cereal food means a healthy food, healthy breakfast.



Cereal Food and India –

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the multi-crore 2G spectrum scam



The Government is fully cooperating with the investigations into the 2G scam. The Government also agrees to setting up of JPC," said Singh

Requesting Speaker Meira Kumar to proceed with the formation of the JPC, the Prime Minister said that a formal motion will be moved soon.
The motion for the formation of the JPC will be moved in the Lok Sabha on February 24
Four hours have been set aside for a debate on JPC formation after the motion is moved.
Now the question is what if A Raja wants to participate in this debate?

Terms of Reference of JPC are not fix yet but soon the terms will be fixed.

This is the victory of Honesty and Democracy.

Calling Kasab's case the "rarest of rare", the two-judge bench comprising justices Ranjana Desai and RV More dismissed an appeal filed by Kasab challenging the death sentence by Special Judge ML Tahaliyani in May 2010.

Kasab made his fourth appearance in the High Court through teleconferencing on Monday.


The entire proceeding lasted for just a few moments before the court pronounced its verdict.

Special Judge ML Tahaliyani on May 6, 2010 gave 22-year-old Kasab death sentence on five counts of murder, conspiracy to murder, waging war against the country, abetting murder and indulging in terrorist activities.

The Bombay High Court upheld the lower court's order completely and found Kasab guilty of seven murders including the killings of senior Mumbai Police officials Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte and Vijay Salaskar.

"This is rarest of rare matter so he should face capital punishment. Kasab and Abu Ismail together killed 56 people," the two-judge division bench comprising justices Ranjana Desai and RV More observed while dismissing an appeal filed by Kasab challenging the death sentence by Special Judge ML Tahaliyani in May 2010.

the High Court also dismissed Maharashtra Government's appeal against acquittal of Fahim Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed. Fahim and Sabauddin were accused of preparing maps of Mumbai and giving them to alleged Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives.

Now what will happen –?

Now again Kasab will file appeal in Supreme court of India.

List of Scandals, Scams, Corruption from 1948 to 2011
Corruption is not in for Indians or not for this world.
So today I will be remembering and writing here the list of corruption which happened in India since Indian Independence.

If you find any facts wrong please let me know.


British throne passed the Indian Independence Act after that India got the freedom.
Not like Egypt where President Mubarak ran away.

After Independence British people left the India and Indian Throne was empty.
Our Indian people sat on that throne and started to rule India using the same rules and books which were made for the slave colony of India by the British king.



Difference between American and Indian scam corruption cases is that in America rich or politician both go to Jail and India if you are rich and politician you will not go to jail in your prime age.

Suppose Mr. P robs the bank at the age 20 and he goes to jail at the age of 50 what is the use of such justice?

If Mr. P gets the kickbacks at between age 30 to 45 and then he goes to jail at the age of 70 or 75 what is the use of such justice.

Thus there is no justice in India, Indian democracy is failed and we are living in Mobocracy.
Let’s start our Journey of knowing famous important Indian corruption and scam cases starting from Year 1948.



1.
1948 Jeep Scandal
- V K Krishna Menon was India’s commissioner in London His name was linked with the scam, the name of the scam was Jeep Scam. Indian government had placed an order for 2,000 jeeps with a London-based firm that had false credentials. While most of the money was paid upfront, just 155 jeeps landed. Later Krishna Menon became Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's trusted ally and the defense minister.

Year 1949 - Industry minister Rao Shiv Bahadur Singh, father of Arjun Singh, was jailed for three years for taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 from gemstone trader Sachendubhai Baron for renewing his diamond mining lease

1958 – Indira Gandhi’s Husband Firoz Gandhi exposed the scam. Finance minister T T Krishnamachari, finance secretary H M Patel, LIC chairman L S Vaidyanathan, are some of the names were linked to this LIC scam or scandal.

4.
In 1959 Ramakrishna Dalmia, chairman, Bharat Insurance Company, was arrested for misappropriating around Rs 2.2 crore from the company and sent to jail for two years.

5.
In 1960, businessman Dharma Teja managed to get Rs 22 crore loan from the government to start a shipping company, and then siphoned the money out of the country. He was arrested in Europe and jailed for six years.

6.
In 1965, Orissa chief minister Biju Patnaik (chief minister Naveen Patnaik's father) was forced to resign after it became known that he had favored his privately owned company, Kalinga Tubes, in awarding a government contract.

7.
1970 – Nagarwala Scandal – Regarding this scandal information is not clear and everything is hidden or unexplained. It is said that Nagarwala impersonated the prime minister on the phone and got State Bank of India to give him Rs 60 lakh. Both Nagarwala and the police officer who investigated the case died in mysterious circumstances soon after.

1974 –Maruti Scandal – name of Indira Gandhi is linked. It was reported that her son was favored with a license to make passenger cars in the then highly restrictive-environment

1976 – Oil Scam – The scam is linked to Indira Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi. A $200-million contract was awarded to the Hong Kong-based Kuo Oil Co to take future deliveries at current prices. The government lost Rs13 crore. It was reported that indirectly money went to Indira and Sanjay.

1980 – THAL Vaishet project scam - In 1980 petroleum secretary H N Bahuguna, N N Kapadia, petroleum minister P C Sethi and K P Unnikrishnan were accused in a scandal where a consultancy contract for the Thal Vaishet project was awarded to a subsidiary of Italian Snamprogetti in violation of laid down-norms.

1981 – Maharashtra Cement Scam Scandal – Maharashtra Chief Minister A R Antulay linked - It was reported that Maharashtra Chief Minister A R Antulay gave Public consumption Cement to Private builders , companies favored them. How much profits which company and who made I did not find information. Did he got the kicksbacks?

1986 – German Submarine Scam – Person linked was Indira Gandhi. It was alleged and reported that Indira Gandhi government got the kickbacks in buying two submarines from German firm HDW

13.
1987 - Bofors Scam – Person Linked Rajiv Gandhi - Rajiv Gandhi and others were accused of receiving Rs 64 crore in payoffs for the 155mm howitzer deal from the Swedish-firm-Bofors.

14.
1991 – Jain hawala case - L K Advani, V C Shukla, C K Jaffer Sharief, Arif Mohammed Khan, Madan Lal Khurana, Kalpnath Rai, N D Tiwari and many others were accused in the Rs 64-crore Jain hawala case.

15.
1991 – Harshad Mehta Scam – Using the Loopholes of law Mehta, SBI, NHB, Grindlays, Citibank and Stanchart were all accused of having played a part in the Rs 10,000 crore securities scandal.

16.
Fodder Scam - Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav and other state politicians and bureaucrats were alleged to have siphoned off Rs 950 crore from funds meant for the state animal husbandry department

17.
1996 - M Gopalakrishnan, former chairman and managing director of Indian Bank, and others were accused of having sanctioned huge loans totaling Rs 1,500 crore to companies without obtaining adequate-collateral-security.

18.
1996 – Telecom Scandal - Sukh Ram was charged with accepting kickbacks from a number of telecom companies in exchange for special favors. About $1 million in small-denomination rupee notes was found in the homes of Sukh Ram. Runu Ghosh, a senior official in the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), was arrested on corruption charges, including having allegedly favored telecom equipment manufacturer Advanced Radio Masts Ltd (ARM) in purchase contracts.

1996 - owners of several large shoe companies in Mumbai were arrested on charges of having floated bogus cobbler co-operatives to get low-interest loans from the Maharashtra government

20.
Chain Roop Bhansali's CRB – 1000 crore Rs. Mutual Fund, Banks he got licenses. He got good credit ratings and audit ratings. CRB created a pyramid based on high cost financing, which finally collapsed. But no one was punished.

21.
Tree Plantation Scam – Invest in one teak tree and become crorepati, earn 1000 times more were the advertisements but today all the companies are vanished and common man lost the money. Do you know any one who got paid for investing in Tree, Do you even know any one went to Jail for doing this scam.

22.
Mutual Fund Scam or Scandal – In beginning all mutual funds made the losses and their parent companies bailed them out. One of the famous one is UTI. In 1999 Unit Trust of India got problems and Indian taxpayers paid for this ,bail amount was Rs 4,800 crore

It’s reported that Mubarak leaved the Egypt still in which country he went its not clear and not declared.

Egypt's Vice President Omar Suleiman, in a statement on state television, said a military council has been appointed to run affairs.

Al Arabiya television reported that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his family had left Cairo to an unknown destination from a military airbase


As per my own view he will go to Saudi Arabia.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested former Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi's personal assistant Shekhar Deorukhkar in Pune in connection with the Commonwealth Games scam.


CBI has registered fresh case under various sections of law for award of contracts for overlays at different venues for Commonwealth Games at exorbitant rates

Shekhar has been Personal Assistant to Kalmadi for over 15 years,

Deorukhkar has been produced before the Shivaji Nagar court with the CBI seeking his transit remand.
Shekhar, arrested under IPC 420 (cheating), 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), was picked up from his residence in Kothrud area of Pune by a CBI team from Delhi.

He was produced before district judge S Sardesai who granted transit remand of the accused to the CBI, directing it to produce him in a Delhi court by February 14

What is Aero India 2011?

Aero India 2011 is the Asia’s largest air show, Aero India is held at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bangalore, India from 9-13 February 2011.

Global Manufacturers of war planes will display their best planes to in this air show and will try to impress and win the India’s Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) tender.


This is the first time ever that all six contenders for the contract are participating at an Aero India show —
1. Boeing’s F/A-18 Super Hornet,
2. Lockheed Martin’s F-16 Super Viper (both from USA),
3. MiG Corporation’s MiG-35 (Russian),
4. Dassault’s Rafale (French),
5. EADS’s Euro fighter Typhoon (European Union’s)
6. SAAB’s Grippen (Swedish).

All six participants of a tender to supply 126 light fighter jets to the Indian air force will showcase full flight displays at Aero India 2011 air show to win the $11 billion tender.

The air show is organized by Defence Exhibition Organization and the Ministry of Defence, it is held in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the Indian Air Force (IAF), the Department of Space and the Union Ministry for Civil Aviation.

In this Air show nearly 675 exhibitors and around 100 types of civilian and military aircraft’s would be on display
Civil and military aerospace manufacturers from 30 countries, including the US, Britain, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, Ukraine and the Netherlands, will participate in the show.

250 American companies will participate in this show.
The USA is leading the list with 250 companies participating at the show, Germany with 35, Italy with 10 and 9 from Israel.

Russia will be represented by 35 companies, including MiG, Sukhoi, Almaz-Antei and Engineering Design Bureau.
Russia will traditionally promote MiG-35 and Su-35 fighter jets, the Yak-130 combat trainer, two versions of Il-76MD transport plane (with different engines), the Il-78MK aerial tanker and MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB naval fighters.
Russia will exhibit over 80 types of weaponry



Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) will participate in the 8th International Exhibition on Aerospace
During the exhibition, IMI will display
1. DELILAH Ground Launched (GL), loitering guided missile,
2. MPR500, Multi-Purpose Rigid Bomb, same like MK-82 Bomb.
3. IFB500, Improved Fragmentation Bomb
4. SPECTRAL IR FLARES,RED SKY 2, Very Short Range Air Defense System, offered as an upgrade to existing Man Portable Air Defense Systems,
5. Multi-Purpose Rifle System (MPRS) designed to provide infantry troops increased lethality and enhanced target incapacitation capabilities

World class fighters like the F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18 Super Hornet, C-17 Globemaster III, C-130J Hercules (recently procured by India) and KC-135 Stratotanker will be on display

India will display its indigenously built supersonic light combat aircraft and light combat helicopter, which will be on the display for the first time.

IAF’s Surya Kiran aerobatic team and Sarang helicopter display team will display their skills.
The Czech Flying Bulls Aerobatics Team will be performing at the Aero India 2011 with their fleet of four Zlin 50 LXes.
The Flying Bulls’ 17-minute performance will include the box formation and the mirror flight.

The school district wants students at select schools to take Arabic language and culture classes as part of a federally funded grant.
Mansfield ISD says in addition to language, the grant provides culture, government, art, traditions and history as part of the curriculum.


Project 21CL2: 21st Century - Languages for 21st Century Learners

What is the Arabic Foreign Language Assistance Program Grant?

This grant is a wonderful opportunity for the students in MISD.
We have been selected as one of only five districts across the country to participate in the grant that provides Arabic studies.
Arabic studies include language acquisition, culture, government, art, traditions and history.
MISD has been awarded a total of $1.3 million over a five year period to promote learning.
Mansfield ISD graduates will possess the language proficiency and cross cultural communication skills to compete in the 21st century.
Our students will be at an advantage in an increasingly diverse and economically global society.

After reading this news I started to think, what they will be teaching to kids as a part of Arabic language and culture?

2. How it is good to have 4 wives
3. How it is good to murder a person with stones,
4. Triple divorce
5. Why it is necessary to give holiday on Friday

"Through learning language, we learn about culture. Through learning about culture,
We learn respect for others. Through learning respect for others, we can hope for
Peace. “

Who said Arabic is going to become world language, and students will need it.
Future language is English and only Chinese language can challenge this position of English in the future also.

I feel that the grant money is going to be wasted. Future will tell after learning Arabic how many male students what learned?
How many boys got the job in future for learning Arabic?

People will say Hindi is growing, but I do not think so Hindi can not replace the Status and position of English Langugage.

Mansfield backs away from Arabic studies program

The Mansfield school district has backed off plans to implement an Arabic studies program after almost 200 people showed up with questions at a parents meeting at Cross Timbers Intermediate School on Monday night.
Superintendent Bob Morrison apologized for not communicating with parents and invited them to be part of developing the curriculum.
"Nothing will be taught in the classroom until the curriculum is rolled out," said Richie Escovedo, Mansfield district spokesperson.

A plan to make lessons in Arabic and Arab culture mandatory for students in some Texas schools has been put on hold, following feedback from parents.

Vice President Biden Announces Six Year Plan to Build National High-Speed Rail Network and it says that Plan Lays Out Vision for Long Term Infrastructure Investments Needed to Win the Future

To create more jobs in America President Obama has decided to start infrastructure spending which will help creation of Jobs in USA.



In beginning from American Budge President will allocate $ 8 Billion towards this cause.
For this also he will need the approval of congress.

This money will be spending on improving, developing trains that travel up to 250 miles per hour and existing rail tracks, lines will be connected to the new project that is new rail lines, tracks.

President Obama has dream that in next 25 years 80% American population should get and enjoy access to high speed rails.

Last Year Obama Administration allotted $10 billion in federal grants for high-speed rail

And last year also Obama laid out a plan of $50 billion spend on infrastructure but congress did not approve it.

In order to achieve a truly national system, these investments will focus on developing or improving three types of interconnected corridors:


1. Core Express: These corridors will form the backbone of the national high-speed rail system, with electrified trains traveling on dedicated tracks at speeds of 125-250 mph or higher.
2. Regional: Crucial regional corridors with train speeds of 90-125 mph will see increases in trips and reductions in travel times, laying the foundation for future high-speed service.
3. Emerging: Trains traveling at up to 90 mph will provide travelers in emerging rail corridors with access to the larger national high-speed and intercity passenger rail network.

This system will allow the Department – in partnership with states, freight rail, and private companies – to identify corridors for the construction of world-class high-speed rail, while raising speeds on existing rail lines and providing crucial planning and resources to communities who want to join the national high-speed rail network.

By clarifying the long-term federal role in passenger rail, this six-year program will provide states and cities with the certainty they need to make long-term transportation plans for their communities. It will provide businesses the confidence they need to hire American workers.

Great thinking and excellent plan by President Obama and his team.

While writing this article, just a thought came our leaders put the plan to build statue and idols when farmers are committing suicide as they do not have money to buy food, have no future for their kids.

Mark Makhou, a Lebanese national working in Kuwait wrote a negative review about Benihana restaurant branch which is in Kuwait on his 248am.com blog.

What he wrote about this Benihana restaurant on his blog I will reproduce here important parts in short.


Mark wrote on his blog that,

1. The service wasn’t too bad for a restaurant that’s just been open for a few days and the staff were really friendly.

2. The problem with my experience last night though was with the food, it was disappointing to say the least.

3. The negimaki arrived looking good and was probably the best thing we had there even though I prefer Maki’s negimaki which has a richer teriyaki sauce.

4. The Orange Blossom was very ordinary, wouldn’t order it again.

5. Now the Hibachi chicken which is basically grilled chicken that was the worst. The chicken was very chewy (I could swear it was undercooked if not raw) and tasted terrible.

6. Nat only ate one piece of chicken and left the rest

7. I needed my protein since I’m on a strict diet and forced myself to eat my whole plate (I can do that) but the after taste was really bad. Even the rice and the veggies that came with it tasted bad AND were under cooked.

8. Would I go back to Benihana? No I wouldn’t. Their sashimi and maki’s are pretty cheap (KD1.5 for 5 pieces of Salmon sashimi for example) but there are two other Japanese restaurants at the Avenues, Wasabi and Maki, and I would prefer either one of those to Benihana.

After this Benihana filed suit.

Mark received the court order which is in Arabic and he got the court date in March.

Here I will be producing English Translated Court order in short.

In his company said that Mark has used bad language, has published offensive review for unidentified reasons.
He visited restaurant with his wife, has taken photos and videos without permission from any one and he has published them on his website, blog.

He has given bad review for the benefit of other hotels as he has mentioned names of other hotels in this review.
He has published fabricated news about hotel and to get fake popularity.

He has insulted hotel as his website is read by hundreds of people daily.
The facts mentioned in his article are not true; otherwise our hotel would have been inspected and shut down by authorities.

Thus they have demanded KD 5000 for damages.
They will even try to close down his website through court order.
The article has damaged the reputation of hotel.

The local company representing the Benihana franchise in Kuwait has filed claims against the blogger in excess of 5000 Kuwaiti Dinars (approx 18000$).

This case is important for Kuwait bloggers as well as all the Middle East bloggers and all blogger community.

This is related with our Freedom of speech.
Mark has done nothing wrong, what he felt he said that.

If Mark gets punished by Kuwait court then what will happen with other blogger we can imagine?

By suing the Blogger, by suing the customer the restaurant has clearly shown that, we do not think Customer is God.

Mark claims his review was balanced and highlighted both positive and negative aspects of his experience at Benihana.

Mark has done nothing wrong, I am sure he will win the case, and the this company act of suing the blogger will stop other customers to visit their hotel.

The problem with Mark is that he has posted the video about Hotel without their permission, I am not aware about the Kuwait laws, thus only this will give him problem.
Court may tell him to remove the video.

While writing this I thought about a joke –

Wife says, honey I am tired please can we go to hotel, but
Husband loves home made food and he know what will happen if he says, No,

Everyday we have sunset with a new Scam and new information about Corruption.
And this congress government has not brought a single new law or amendment to stop this Corruption.


The CAG was probing the ISRO and looked into an agreement between ISRO's commercial company Antrix and Devas Multimedia.
The company is headed by Dr MG Chandrasekhar, former scientific secretary at ISRO.

Firstly the agreement was made for or related to launching two satellites by ISRO for Devas.
In this contract the Hidden benefit was given to Devas regarding scare S band.
The use of 70 MHz of the scarce S-band spectrum over a 20-year period.
S-band spectrum was given at throwaway prices to Devas in 2005.

It’s reported that the 70MHZ spectrum was sold at only 1000 Crore.
And estimated price of this S band spectrum is Rs. 2 Lakh Crore

In India only total band available is 190 MHz of the S-band
Currently 150 MHz is with the Department of Space
And 70 MHz of this was allotted to Devas multimedia.

As per Reports Under the deal, Devas Multimedia is to get access to 70 MHz of broadband spectrum in the 2500 MHz band. This was once used by Doordarshan to deliver programmes by satellite to all parts of the country.

According to the report, the CAG wants to know -

1.Why was Devas Multimedia allotted S-band spectrum, without inviting any bids?

2.Why resources were were diverted from ISRO's budget to private satellites?

3.Why regulators were not informed of the implications of the deal?

The CAG estimated that not auctioning off the S-band spectrum caused the exchequer losses of at least Rs 2 lakh crore.

Again Government property was sold without auction.
This is reason we need to change law or amend law and need to introduce the law,

Law – No one is allowed to sale government property without open auction with 1 month of notice to Indian Public.

The Department of Space is part of Prime Ministers office.
Department of space comes directly under the PM
ISRO reports to the Department of Space (DoS), which in turn reports to the Prime Minister's Office.

"The agreement entered by Antrix, the commercial arm of ISRO, and M/S Devas on January 28, 2005 is already under review by the Department of Space and a decision on the matter will be taken soon".

I hope that agreement will be cancelled for the benefit of India.

In 2005, the commercial arm of ISRO, Antrix, signed a contract with Devas Multimedia
Devas says it is totally unaware of this.

In a statement today, the company stressed, "Devas has never been informed by DOS/ISRO/Antrix at any time prior to February 8, 2011 that the Agreement was under review since December 8, 2009 and even to date we have received no official notices.

On the contrary Devas was provided written confirmation that all required approvals had been obtained from the highest levels for giving effect to the Agreement and repeatedly assured that the delays in delivery of the satellite capacity were only on account of technical issues."

The Cabinet Committee on Security decided to terminate the controversial deal between ISRO's commercial wing Antrix and Devas citing national security.

"The deal between the Devas and Antrix shall be annulled. We concluded that this deal can be annulled. Government cannot afford to grant the S-Band to any one including Antrix because of strategic reasons," said Law Minister Veerappa Moily.

I hope you have seen the movie Terminator.
In the Terminator series, Skynet is the main character an artificially intelligent system which became self-aware and revolted against its creators.

Skynet is rarely seen onscreen and its actions are often performed via other robots and computer systems; usually a Terminator.


The RoboEarth project was initiated by a multi-disciplinary partnership of robotics researchers from academia and industry.

In December 2009, the group received four-year funding from the European Commission's Cognitive Systems and Robotics Initiative to develop RoboEarth’s open-source network database platform and develop a series of demonstrators to prove the concept.
The demonstrators include using the RoboEarth platform to:

1. create and execute action recipes
2. integrate localization and mapping
3. perform 3D sensing
4. learning control
5. track objects dynamically
6. mine data from RoboEarth past data

What is RoboEarth?

RoboEarth is an Internet for robots: a world-wide, open-source platform that allows any robot with a network connection to generate, share and reuse data.

At its core, RoboEarth is a World Wide Web for robots: a giant network and database repository where robots can share information and learn from each other about their behavior and their environment.

Bringing a new meaning to the phrase "experience is the best teacher", the goal of RoboEarth is to allow robotic systems to benefit from the experience of other robots, paving the way for rapid advances in machine cognition and behavior, and ultimately, for more subtle and sophisticated human-machine interaction.

The RoboEarth World-Wide-Web style database will be implemented on a Server with Internet and Intranet functionality.

It stores information required for object recognition (e.g., images, object models), navigation (e.g., maps, world models), tasks (e.g., action recipes, manipulation strategies) and hosts intelligent services (e.g., image annotation, offline learning).

In simple language I will say,
Roboearth will be internet of the Robots,
Robots will download information from Roboearth and then they will complete the task reducing the need of human.
Today when we have any problem we use WWW and get the information and solve our problem.
Same way Robots will contact Roboearth and will get the details and they will complete the given task.

Currently scientist have got success in basic activity this guarantees that Scientist in future will build the something like skynet for robots, currently which we are calling it Roboearth.
Again it will depend on us humans if we want to use them for peaceful purpose or destruction and I am sure governments will use them for both.

What is the vision, object, motivation behind Roboearth?

The aim of RoboEarth is to use the internet to create a giant open source network database that can be accessed and continually updated by robots around the world.
Allow robots to encode, exchange, and reuse knowledge to help each other accomplish complex tasks.

Before this Robots were firstly told or configured to do certain task in certain way.
Their systems have relied on knowing in advance the specifics of every possible situation they might encounter.
Each response to a contingency has had to be programmed in advance, and systems have had to rebuild their world model from sensor data each time they had to perform a new task.

But what will happen if Robots can update their database according to environment or need or on the fly learn the new task, and methods, way to do that task, this is where Roboearth comes.

Imagine –
Hospital Room 1 robot is serving the coffee or giving the medicine to the patient.
Robot does this activity, while doing this robot monitors everything, automatically data is sent to Roboearth, with problems which robot faced.
Then some human will configure it or adjust the data and procedure etc.

Now this first robot goes repair, and on his place 2nd Robot comes
Now what will happen?

2nd robot which does not know how to complete the same task, this time 2nd Robot will contact the Roboearth for help and his software will be updated and he will do the same task without error.
Thus this 2nd time no training is required, Robot learned it automatically.
Robot asks to Roboearth?
How can I do this task to Roboearth?
Roboearth = Robot wait updating your software solution found.
Or it may happen,
Robot – I do not know how to do this, search the Roboearth database and get the solution, found the solution and download it, learn it and complete the task.

Watch the video - The video shows a proof-of-concept: A service robot in a hospital room downloading a map of its environment, object recognition models and task descriptions from RoboEarth, and successfully serving a drink to a patient.



In the above video we can see that scientist have achieved the first goal, after 1 year of hardworking.
As you can see in the video above, RoboEarth has a way to go. One year into the project, can download task descriptions from RoboEarth and execute a simple task. We can also upload simple things, like an improved map of the environment.
But for now we are far from using or creating the rich amount of prior information described in the scenario above, or addressing potential safety or legal challenges.

With this now I am sure one can imagine lot of stuff, like killing enemy, murder or enjoying or having fun hope you got it.

Headlines Today has uncovered LGT Bank documents which reveal that $1.5 lakh was transferred from Panamanian accounts to Gamble’s Prabodh Mehta.
Gembel is amongst the oldest and most trusted names in global diamond trade.

The Enforcement Directorate and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) confirmed to Headlines Today that three trusts held by the Mehta’s were under scanner for money laundering and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violations.

Nearly Euros 4.4 million used for estate planning was transferred to Leichenstein and the $1.2 billion dollar Rosy Blue headquarters in Antwerp paid no tax in 2009.

What is Islamic banking system?

A banking system which is based on Sharia Muslim law and principles is called as Islamic banking system.

In practice, this means that instead Of loans, Islamic banks use profit-and-loss sharing arrangements (PLS); purchase and Resale of goods and services, and the provision of services for fees form the basis of Contracts

In an Islamic bank, the rate of return on a deposit is directly dependent on the quality of the Bank’s investment decisions.
If the bank records losses as a result of bad investments, depositors may lose some (or all) of their deposits.
The contractual agreement between depositors and the Islamic banks does not predetermine any rates of return; it only sets the ratio according to which profits
And losses are distributed between the parties to the deposit contract.

Understand the Islamic banking through example:
Suppose Mr John wants a loan to purchase a car or say house and he goes to Islamic bank, then bank will purchase the car and keep the ownership with the car and give that car to
Mr. John .
The ownership remains with the Bank until Mr. John pays the loan amount to the bank. Same rule is applied to nearly everything just they use different names for transactions.
There are no late fees, penalites etc if john is not able to pay on time.

And finally, Islamic banking is restricted to islamically acceptable deals, which exclude
Those involving alcohol, pork, gambling, sex, movies, etc.

When Islamic bank is smaller it works very well as depositors and management of bank

The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation will hold 11 per cent stake in the bank.
The bank plans to raise an initial capital of 500 crore rupees from NRIs and will avoid all interest-linked business activities.
It will provide interest-free loans for those looking to start new businesses and small-scale ventures.
It will also invest in the infrastructure sector.
The activities of the bank will be supervised by a Shariah Supervisory Board which will include Islamic scholars.

Opening Banks on religious grounds is not good for India.

1970 - President Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt died in September 1970 and then Anwar Sadat became President. Sadat declared that Egypt was prepared to "sacrifice a million Egyptian soldiers" to recover its lost territory.

1972 - He became Commander of the Air Force and Egyptian Deputy Minister of Defense

1973 - Yom Kippur War, Ramadan War or October War also known as 1973 Arab-Israeli War and the Fourth Arab-Israeli War, was fought from October 6 to 25, 1973, between Israel and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria.

And helped American government in that war. American forces won that war.
After this it has been reported that Egypt was rewarded by America, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, and Europe, they forgave $14 billion of debt of Egypt.

2005, Dr.Noor contested election against Mubarak, but Mubarak won the election as he got the power of government and military and money.
As political persecution, Nour was convicted of forgery and sentenced to five years at hard labor on December 24, 2005.

"The United States is deeply troubled by the conviction today of Egyptian politician Ayman Nour by an Egyptian court. The conviction of Dr. Nour, the runner-up in Egypt's 2005 presidential elections, calls into question Egypt's commitment to democracy, freedom and the rule of law. We are also disturbed by reports that Mr. Nour's health has seriously declined due to the hunger strike on which he has embarked in protest of the conditions of his trial and detention.
The United States calls upon the Egyptian government to act under the laws of Egypt in the spirit of its professed desire for increased political openness and dialogue within Egyptian society, and out of humanitarian concern, to release Mr. Nour from detention

According to the BBC, Mubarak has survived six assassination attempts.

January 2011
Citizens of Egypt came on the road with demand of political reforms and removal of Mubarak from the chair of President.
Current Term of President Mubarak ends in September 2011.
As protest grew Mubarak changed his government.
As the protests grew Mr. Mubarak responded by going on national television and promising not to stay in power beyond his current term, which ends in September 2011.

4 February 2011 –
"He is fed up with being president and would like to leave office now, but cannot, he says, for fear that the country would sink into chaos," ABC News, which recently interviewed Mubarak, said.

According to the report, Mubarak was along with his family and his palace was heavily guarded by armed troops, tanks and barbed wires. Protesters' Friday deadline for Mubarak's resignation is ending today.

I would never run away... I will die on this soil," he said as the President defended his legacy, recounting the many years he has spent leading his country.

February 6, 2011
State TV reports that President Hosni Mubarak has resigned from Egypt's ruling party.
His son, Gamal Mubarak, and the National Democratic Party's secretary-general, Safwat el-Sharif, have also resigned, in a new gesture to protesters carrying out a 12-day-old wave of anti-government demonstrations.
However, Mubarak still continues as the nation's president.

It was also reported that another member of the National Democratic Party, Dr. Hossam Badrawy, who is generally well-accepted by the public, has been named Secretary General of the NDP.

Egypt's military announced on national television that it stepped in to "safeguard the country" and assured protesters that President Hosni Mubarak will meet their demands
Gen. Hassan al-Roueini, military commander for the Cairo area, told thousands of protesters in central Tahrir Square, "All your demands will be met today."

Reports are saying that in 1 or 2 days Mubarak will resign from his post of President

If Mubarak resigns in which country he will go?
As per my reading and understanding Mubarak will go to Saudi Arabia or UK.
He will get political asylum their.

The Swiss government has frozen assets belonging to former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak or his family in Switzerland.
It also forbids the sale of any assets, especially real estate holdings.
No details were given regarding Bank account number or which assets were frozen.
At the end of 2009, Egyptian deposits in Swiss bank accounts totalled 3.6 billion Swiss francs (about $3.5 billion), according to the Swiss National Bank.
