Chennai Imported Car Scam CBI Raid on BCCI chief India Cements promoter N Srinivasan and others

The Imported Car scam is believed to have caused a loss of Rs 50 crore to the Citizens of India
The mastermind of the scam - Alex Joseph, who has evaded arrest, has also been raided.

A number of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have been accused of playing major roles in tax evasions.

According to the CBI, the Chennai car imports scam is perhaps the biggest of its kind in India.

First CBI raided the residence of DMK's political heir MK Stalin was searched allegedly for an imported Hummer.

Suddenly it was stopped because of Political Pressure.

Once again shows that CBI works under Politicians and is not independent.

On March 22, CBI continued raids on others in Chennai and seized 11 cars belonging to N Srinivasan, the BCCI chief and India Cements promoter.

Mr. Srinivasan had evaded paying tax on imported cars, which have been seized during the raids.

CBI also raided Chancellor of Sri Ramchandra Medical College, GK Shetty Ramanna, MGM Group of companies and Raja Shankar, the owner of JRA Towers group.

The raids so far have yielded 33 imported vehicles.
