36,743 citizens of Delhi sign up for AAP’s Civil Disobedience Movement

2nd Day of Fast  36,743 citizens of Delhi sign up for AAP’s Civil Disobedience Movement

On the first day of Arvind’s fast, 36,743 citizens of Delhi have challenged the Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit saying that they will no longer pay the illegitimately high electricity and water charges inflated due to her corruption.

They have joined Aam Aadmi Party’s Civil Disobedience and have boldly given in writing they will no longer pay these bills.

In this unique Civil Disobedience Movement AAP, volunteers fanned out across Delhi and carried the truth of the inflated water and electricity bills.

The volunteers are explaining the collusion of Shila Dixit, BJP and the discoms owned by Tatas and Ambanis.

Meanwhile Arvind continued to fast in the house of a common man in a low income settlement at F145, Opposite Gagan Cinema, Near Murga Mandi, Sundar Nagri, Delhi-93.

On the morning of the second day of his fast Arvind’s morale was high and charged with the warmth and support of thousands of aam Aadmi.

In less than a few hours of campaigning, there was an overwhelming response from the common people who said their lives had become impossible due to the excessive bills and they were more than willing to join the Civil Disobedience Movement collectively.

AAP volunteers told them that if lakhs of people come together and refused to pay these wrongful charges, the strength of the people will defeat the corrupt rulers.

AK  started the indefinite fast at the house of Santosh, who was a “victim” of inflated bills and who reportedly took loans to pay the bills.
These are illegal and fake bills.
The Delhi government is hand in glove with the discoms
The purpose of Arvinds fast is to mobilize more and more people against the “illegal” bills.

Excellent to see that such things are happening in India. People have to fight for their rights and only then any positive change can be expected. I wish all the very best for AAP.
