24 Hours Live Online Budania a Rajasthan Village goes online to bring Transparency –

To bring transparency in work , every school, hospital, government office, bus stand and even road in Jhunjhunu's Budania gram panchayat will soon go live with anyone across the world being able to watch 24X7 what's happening in this small village on its website.

Budania sarpanch Randheer Singh told that Twenty close-circuit cameras with high resolution and night vision facilities will be installed in the first phase that is to be completed by the end of this month. They will cover the panchayat building, community health center, government primary and middle school, veterinary hospital, Ayurveda Hospital, IT center, anganbari center and Mini Bank,"

Sarpanch Randheer Singh –
Education - B Ed and masters in mass communication
Experience – worked as Journalist for 4 years
Now he is politician to him others should follow including Modi and Singh and Sibal.

After wining election and becoming Sarpanch he has built 4 water harvesting systems that is to store rainwater.
He got plans approved to build new drainage system.

For this project the villagers contributed money.
Using this money CCTV will be installed and maintained.

A excellent idea which should be followed by every village and city in India.

The benefit of this project is that if anyone is sleeping or taking bribe or harassing the citizens it will be seen by everyone. This will put an end to many type of bad works in which government employees indulge.

Singh had last year made online every record of work done by the panchayat, even minutes of village council meetings.

Because of this method every villager now knows that what is happening in village and who is getting the works from Gram Panchayat and what is the progress.

the website has everything one needs to know about the village:
contact munbers of all the officials from the sarpanch to the district collector;
information on the latest projects taken up by the villagers through NREGS,the list
of BPL card holders; minutes of the gram sabha meetings; voters list etc.

The website gives the details of the ongoing works, the proposed works and names
Of those who had 100 days of work. It also features minutes of gram sabha meetings.
It's at the gram sabha meetings that the projects to he taken up under NREGS are
discussed. The decision taken at the sabha is put up on the website for all to see.

Few examples how fraud and corruption happens in NREGS Scheme –

The officers show that XYZ person got the employment for 80 days and in reality that xyz person does not exit or he is only paid for 30 to 50 days.

Under this scheme give the work to own friends and families and make money.
And over charging happens with no quality of work.

Singh, who once worked as a journalist with a Hindi daily, was elected sarpanch
in February last year.

Rajya SABHA Division of membership, Difference between Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha

Rajya SABHA Division of membership, Difference between
Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha

Parliament is the supreme legislative body of a country. Our Parliament comprises of the President and the two Houses—
Lok Sabha (House of the People)
Rajya Sabha (Council of States)

Rajya Sabha is the Upper House of Parliament.
It has not more than 250 members.

Members of Rajya Sabha are not elected by the people directly but indirectly by the Legislative Assemblies of the various States.
Every State is allotted a certain number of members.
No member of Rajya Sabha can be under 30 years of age.

Twelve of Rajya Sabha members are nominated by the President from persons who have earned distinction in the fields of literature, art, science and social service.

Rajya Sabha is a permanent body.
It is not subject to dissolution but one-third of its members retire every two years.
Rajya Sabha was duly constituted for the first time on April 3, 1952 and it held its first sitting on May 13, that year.

There are at present 245 members in Rajya Sabha, distributed among different States and Union Territories as follows:

(1) Andhra Pradesh - 18

(2) Arunachal Pradesh - 1

(3) Assam - 7

(4) Bihar - 16

(5) Chhattisgarh - 5

(6) Goa - 1

(7) Gujarat - 11

(8) Haryana - 5

(9) Himachal Pradesh - 3

(26) Uttaranchal - 3

(27) Uttar Pradesh - 31

(28) West Bengal - 16

(29) NCT of Delhi - 3

(30) Pondicherry - 1

(31) Nominated by the President under 12 Article 80(1) (a) of the Constitution

Lok Sabha elects one of its own members as its Presiding Officer and he is called the Speaker. He is assisted by the Deputy Speaker who is also elected by Lok Sabha.

The conduct of business in Lok Sabha is the responsibility of the Speaker.

The Vice-President of India is the ex-officio Chairman of Rajya Sabha.

He is elected by the members of an electoral college consisting of members of both Houses of Parliament.

Rajya Sabha also elects one of its members to be the Deputy Chairman.

Functions of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha

The main function of both the Houses is to pass laws. Every Bill has to be passed by both the Houses and assented to by the President before it becomes law. The subjects over whom Parliament can legislate are the subjects mentioned under the Union List in the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India. Broadly speaking, Union subjects are those important subjects which for reasons of convenience, efficiency and security are administered on all-India basis. The principal Union subjects are Defense, Foreign Affairs, Railways, Transport and Communications, Currency and Coinage, Banking, Customs and Excise Duties. There are numerous other subjects on which both Parliament and State Legislatures can legislate.

Under this category mention may be made of economic and social planning, social security and insurance, labor welfare, price control and vital statistics.

Besides passing laws, Parliament can by means of resolutions, motions for adjournment, discussions and questions addressed by members to Ministers exercise control over the administration of the country and safeguard people’s liberties.

Difference between Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha

(1)
Members of Lok Sabha are directly elected by the eligible voters.
Members of Rajya Sabha are elected by the elected members of State Legislative Assemblies in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of single transferable vote.

(2)
The normal life of every Lok Sabha is 5 years only while Rajya Sabha is a permanent body.

(3)
Lok Sabha is the House to which the Council of Ministers is responsible under the Constitution. Money Bills can only be introduced in Lok Sabha. Also it is Lok Sabha which grants the money for running the administration of the country.

(4)
Rajya Sabha has special powers to declare that it is necessary and expedient in the national interest that Parliament may make laws with respect to a matter in the State List or to create by law one or more all-India services common to the Union and the States.

Controversies and Maharashtra Chief Minister – Prithviraj Chavan –

Bt Brinjal –
He is supporter of Bt Brinjal
Mr. Chavan pushed for Bt Brinjal in a letter he copied word for word from a study funded by biotech seed companies, including Monsanto.
He is presenting an undemocratic GM bill to ease the legalisation of Bt Brinjal, rice, and more—without any public input. Mr. Chavan is supposed to serve the people of India. Instead, he’s serving the interests of biotech seed corporations. The accusations were made by the Green Peace.

Flat Benefits – Enjoyed by New Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan

RTI activist Anil Galgali, who blew the lid on the ingenious scam, said: "I had filed an RTI application to find out what happened to the flats allotted under the Chief Minister's Discretionary Quota Scheme. A majority of the flats had been allotted to politicians and their close relatives."

The Chief Minister's Discretionary Quota Scheme, 1976, was originally meant for citizens from the economically weaker sections to apply for flats surrendered by developers.
According to the Maharashtra Urban Land Ceiling Act (repealed in 2007), it was mandatory for realtors to keep some flats vacant in lieu of constructing on government land.
The idea was to facilitate mass housing for the poor.
Apart from members of the economically backward community, the discretionary quota allowed journalists, artists and ex- servicemen to apply for flats.

Prithviraj Chavan admitted that he had been allotted a flat at Bhakti Park in Wadala in 2003 under the Chief Minister's Discretionary Quota.
Media has reported that there is confusion regarding salary showed by him.
Somewhere I read that flats were meant for MLA and he was MP.

Good thing is New CM has not sold his flat. Normally they purchase flat and make huge profits.

Example – Purchase the flat at the Rate of 100 Rs. Per sq,ft and sell that same flat at the Rate of 6000 or 10, 000 Rs. Sq,ft.

She also became the General-Secretary of the All India Youth Congress.
In the Government formed in 1991 headed by Narsimha Rao as Prime Minister, Mamata Banerjee was in charge of the Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development, Youth Affairs and Sports, along with Women and Child Development.
She was discharged of her portfolios in 1993.

Formation of New Political Party - All India Trinamool Congress (AITC)
In 1997 she left congress party and established new political party All India Trinamool Congress (AITC)
On 11 December 1998, she controversially held a Samajwadi Party MP, Daroga Prasad Saroj, by the collar and dragged him out of the well of the Lok Sabha to prevent him from protesting against the Women's Reservation bill.

In 1999, she joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government and was allocated the Railways Ministry.
In 2000, Mamata Banerjee presented her first Railway Budget.
In early 2001, after making allegations against the BJP, she walked out of the NDA cabinet and allied with the Congress Party for West Bengal's 2001 elections, amidst speculation that the move could unseat the Communist government.
She returned to the cabinet in January 2004, holding the Ministry of Coal and Mines portfolios until the 2004 Elections, in which she was the only Trinamool Congress member to win a Parliament seat from West Bengal.

Year 2005 –
On 20 October 2005, she protested against the industrialization policy of the Buddhadev Bhattacharya government in West Bengal. Benny Santoso, CEO of the Indonesia-based Salim Group had pledged a large investment to West Bengal, and the West Bengal government had given him farmland in Howrah
Her party lost control of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation

In 2006, the Trinamool Congress was defeated in West Bengal's Assembly Elections, losing more than half of its sitting members.

The Trinamul Congress MLAs protested by damaging furniture and microphones in the West Bengal Assembly.
Government failed to handle this problem, Tata left and Mamta won.

Nandigram –
The West Bengal government wanted to start a chemical hub in the Nandigram
Mamta opposed that, locals also opposed the project, once again government failed to take the local people in confidence.
Trinamool Congress started a blockade.
On 14 March the cops stared firing and killed 14 villagers, when cops were sent to remove the blockade of around 6 months by Mamata Banerjee's violent movement there.
Again government failed to bring industry because of lack of good policy.

In 2009 parliament elections TMC and Congress, UPA alliance won.
And again she became the Railway Minister.

In 2010 TMC won in corporation elections of KOLKATA CORPORATION and Bidhan Nagar Corporation

Mamata Banerjee attitude towards Maoists
She is kind hearted towards Maoists –
Kolkata, July 21 Railway Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said she would request Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to stop the anti-Maoist joint operation in West Bengal as the state's ruling Left Front was using this to regain its political turf in the affected areas.

It is expected that in next elections she is going to win west Bengal elections and going to become Chief Minister of west Bengal.

Reality Views by sm:

Manmohan Singh is the one of the honest alive politician of India.
Normally he does not talk much, he believes in action and he shows it with his actions.
Mms is a common mans representation, he has worked as a professor, reader he knows the problems of middleclass as well as lower-class of India.
He can solve all the problems but main problem is that he does not have much support.
And expectations are high from him, but good thing is very slowly he is trying to change India. If he will try to change anything very ghastly he will be thrown away by congress as well as other political parties.
India is a nation where corruption is religion, so we must realize how it must be difficult for Mms to work with more than 90% corrupt or greedy or selfish politicians and leaders and government babus, employees of India.
We Indians can not even handle our own cooperative housing societies so think he has to[ Dr Manmohan Singh ] has to perform for India.
