short story plot of Noorie (1979):
Noorie lives in a beautiful Kashmiri village with her father and her loyal dog Khairu.
She is deeply in love with Yusuf, a simple and honest young man.
Their families agree to their marriage, and happiness seems near.
Tragedy strikes when Noorie’s father is killed by a greedy landlord.
Noorie herself is assaulted, leaving her devastated.
Unable to bear the pain, she takes her own life.
Yusuf, heartbroken, vows revenge against the culprits.
In the final act, Khairu the dog plays a heroic role in punishing the villain.
The film ends with Yusuf’s grief and the haunting loss of Noorie.
