Few days back many online portals were showing the news that a 16-year-old boy Harshit Sharma a Chandigarh student - has landed a high-paying job with Google at annual salary of Rs. 1.44 Crore.

The news report said that Harshit Sharma, who completed Class 12 from the Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 33, in 2017, has been hired by the Internet giant, Google, at a whopping annual salary of Rs 1.44 crore.

It was also reported that Sharma would soon be joining the graphic designing team of the company. He was supposed to leave for the US in August, according to previous reports.

The 16-year-old had reportedly said that the job was a “dream come true” and his hard work had paid off.  Sharma had also claimed that he got selected after submitting his posters through a “Google link”.  During the one-year training period, he will receive a stipend of Rs 4 lakh per month. After completion of the training he will receive a remuneration of Rs 12 lakh per month, it was earlier reported.

Now Google has clarified that we don’t have any information on our records with respect to Harshit Sharma’s candidacy,”
