Yogendra Yadav led Swaraj Abhiyan launches Jai Kisan Movement
Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan formed the Swaraj Abhiyan.
Swaraj Abhiyan, launched a farmers movement on Saturday to address the agrarian crisis in the country
Yadav said Jai Kisan Movement is aimed at reshaping the country's future. He appealed to the people to be a part of it to help resolve the fight of the farmers.

Jai Kisan Movement, in about 1 lakh villages.
It will kick start from some of the significant and historic sites of peasant locations.
Demands of the Jai Kisan Movement –
1-withdrawal of the Land Acquisitions Ordinance
2-a legislation to guarantee minimum income of farmers and assured and adequate compensation against natural calamity.
"The demands of Jai Kisan Andolan include withdrawal of the land bill, introduction of a legislation guaranteeing minimum income to farmers and a comprehensive, assured and adequate compensation against natural calamity,"
"In the first phase of the movement, volunteers will go to villages in various states including Bihar, West Bengal, Maharashtra etc, and reach out to the farmers and establish a dialogue with them to understand their problems and issues,"
In the second phase, there would be a "tractor march" from Punjab which would reach the Parliament during Monsoon Session on August 10 after covering Uttar Pradesh.
Maruti Bhapkar, a founder member of the Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan-led Swaraj Abhiyan in Maharashtra, charged that the controversies involving AAP MLAs and former Delhi Law Ministers Jitender Singh Tomar and Somnath Bharti have shown the "moral bankruptcy of the Kejriwal-led AAP".
