Makdee Iqbal fame actress Shweta Basu Prasad arrested for Prostitution

According to media reports National Award winning 23 year old  actor Shweta Basu Prasad of ‘Makdee’ and Iqbal movie  fame was arrested for being allegedly involved in a prostitution racket in Hyderabad,
Shweta had won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for her performance in the 2002 film ‘Makdee.’

She was arrested from a high end hotel at the Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

Shweta Prasad was arrested on Sunday, and has been sent to a Government Rehabilitation Home.
She will be in remand for some time now. 

She played the role of Shreyas Talpade’s younger sister in National Award winning movie ‘Iqbal

She has acted in Ekta Kapoor’s hit serial ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ where she played the role of Sakshi Tanwar’s daughter.
