Oscar Pistorius Murder trial case will be shown live on television

Mr. Oscar Pistorius shot his girlfriend, the model and reality TV star Reeva Steenkamp, more than a year ago, and his murder trial begins next Monday.

A South African judge has ruled that the trial of athlete Oscar Pistorius can be partially televised

The BBC's Pumza Fihlani says it will be the first time parts of a trial in South Africa are televised live.

Udge Dunstan Mlambo at the court in Pretoria was asked to decide how much, if any, of the proceedings could be filmed and broadcast live.

The application was brought by media groups MultiChoice, eNCA and Eyewitness News, reported Sapa news agency.

Regarding Public Interest Litigation cases Times Now, CNN IBN also needs to file such cases and should get right to show live trials in cases which are filed as a PIL

India needs a reform and law which will make it mandatory for the Lok Sabha TV or Rajya Sabha TV to show live telecast of cases which are filed as a PIL
