A lawyer from Baroda Bar association had filed a case and sought a non-bailable warrant against Sherawat over her "obscene" dance performance at a New Year eve party held in Mumbai on December 31, 2006.

The court had issued summons to Sherawat last week to appear before it on Saturday.

Since Sherawat did not remain present in the court, Tiwari sought issuance of a non-bailable warrant against her.

the court issued a bailable warrant against her and asked her to appear before it on August 19.

Once again this case proves that India needs to change the laws and India is limited democracy with limited freedoms
