Novelist Padma Sachdeva had mentioned Lata Mangeshkar Slow poisoning incident in her book titled Lata Mangeshkar:
Aisa Kahan Se Lauen.
This incident took place in year 1962
One morning, Lata Mangeshkar experienced severe pain in her stomach and vomited green liquid many times.
Doctor was called and received medical treatment.
She was on her bed for three months.
Later doctor told to Lata Mangeshkar that she was poisoned

Everyone agrees that she is a great singer. But at some point of time people need to retire and allow younger talents. The fact that she has launched her LM Audio brand to do exactly that, is laudable.
