How to Breathe, Breathing system Sun Pranayam Moon Pranayam Balanced Breathing

Simple Method of doing Pranayam or breathing

Inhale the air counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 then keep the air lungs counting 1 2 3 4 5.

Then Pause do not inhale counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Please repeat this breathing minimum 20 times a day and with practice go on increasing the count to 10, then 15, then 20 like this.

Start with 5 counts, do it for 20 times daily, and go on increasing counting.

Please see that when inhaling chest should expand by 1 to 3 inches.

Pranayam can be done anywhere by sitting on chair or sofa, just see that the surround is clean.

One can do Pranayam while walking or sitting or in standing position.

What is Sun Pranayam?

Right nostril is connected with Sun, thus breathing by right nostril will create heat in the body.
Therefore, this method is useful in winter and monsoon.

Doing Sun Pranayam helps to cure or gives relief in following diseases or problems.









Where heat is required, do the Sun Pranayam.

Now How to do Sun Pranayam?
Sun Breathing to increase heat in body.

For increasing heat in the body close the left nostril , inhale through right nostril and exhale through it  with the above counting  1,2,3,4,5 which is explained in beginning.

After lunch or dinner lie down for 10 to 20 minutes on left side so that breathe will create heat in the body and heat is good for digestion.

When you lie down on left side of the body, the breathe will flow from right nostril.

Moon Pranayam –

What is Moon Pranayam?

Left nostril is connected with Moon, so it creates coolness in the body.
Therefore, this method is useful in following problems or diseases.




If coolness is required, do the Moon Pranayam.
How to do Moon Pranayam?

For increasing coolness in the body
Close right nostril, inhale and exhale through left nostril with counting 12345 like this.

Lying down on right side breathe will flow from left nostril which is useful during fever.

Balanced Method of Breathing – For Balance of heat and Cold

Inhale from right nostril and exhale from left nostril and then inhale from left nostril and exhale from right nostril.

When the breathe is held inside, pull the stomach inside for more effective results which will help reduce the tummy.
