Pakistan Supreme Court charge PM Yousuf Raza Gilani if found guilty may not go to Jail

Pakistan Supreme Court charge PM Yousuf Raza Gilani if found guilty may not go to Jail

Two previous Pakistani prime ministers, Zulfiqar Ali Butto and Nawaz Sharif, have received contempt-of-court notices; Gilani is the first ever to be formally indicted on that charge.

On Friday, Pakistan's SC court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry rejected PM Gilanis appeal against framing of contempt charges over his failure to act on its repeated orders to reopen cases of alleged money laundering, corruption against Asif Ali Zardari in Switzerland.

On Monday Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan charged Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani with contempt of court for refusing to act on the Supreme Court's orders to reopen graft cases against the President, Asif Ali Zardari.

This is the reason no politician should enjoy the immunity from any type of crime.
Every politician including PM or President should be treated like a common citizen of the country when any investigating agency wants to try to them with the permission of the Court.

Supreme Court of Pakistan gave many opportunities to PM Gilani to act and take action and open corruption cases against the President, Asif Ali Zardari.

But PM Gilani refused that he did not follow the SC orders.

In Supreme Court he said he is not guilty, that is the just a formality which is done before starting the case or framing of the charges.

Gilani said that the constitution grants Zardari immunity from prosecution.
So he will not open the case.

Accused is ask are you guilty or not guilty and he accuse says that he is not guilty
This is the beginning of a criminal trial or case.

Justice Nasir ul Mulk, who heads the seven-judge panel handling the case, said Gilani must stand trial because the prime minister had failed to write a letter to Swiss authorities to revive money-laundering and kickback cases involving Zardari dating to the 1990s.

Next date of the case is February 22.

The trial, which is scheduled for Feb. 22, could take several weeks
If PM Mr. Gilani is convicted, he could be imprisoned for six months and face possible removal from office after being disqualified from holding public office for five years.

Understand one more point –
Supreme Court will find PM Gilani guilty and will give him Jail term.
But President Zardari will use his power of Pardon and Pakistan PM will never to go Jail.
Pakistan PM will only lose his chair of PM , that is post of PM.

Before this Pakistan Supreme Court told PM Gilani not to bring his car inside the premises and to instead leave it outside the court like an ordinary citizen.

Pakistan Supreme Court is tough and hard I do not think it will allow any compromise for the Justice.

Good Justice System is one which doses not know any emotions.
If do the crime must go to Hail that is Jail.

Let’s hope Pakistan SC will not bend and will punish the guilty if it founds PM guilty.

It is the test of foolishness of Zardari.
If Gilani accuses Zardari and Zardari pardons him, then jokes win !!
