2G Scam - DMK MP Kanimozhi and 7 others denied bail Trial To Start From November 11

Person can do a murder suddenly but corruption needs a planning and good management.

Special CBI judge O P Saini rejected the bail application of - DMK MP Kanimozhi and 7 other accused in the 2G spectrum allotment corruption case.

All the accused will continue to stay in Tihar Jail and trial will begin from November 11.

Following are the names of 8 accused persons whose bail application were denied by the learned and honorable Judge O P Saini.

1. Kanimozhi

2. Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Bal

3. former communications minister A. Raja's ex-private secretary R.K. Chandolia

4. Kalaignar TV chief Sharad Kumar

5. directors of Kusegaon Fruits & Vegetables Pvt Limited Asif Balwa

6. Rajiv B. Agarwal - director of Kusegaon Fruits & Vegetables Pvt Limited

7. Bollywood producer Karim Morani

8. former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura

All the above accused were present in the Court when their Bail plea was denied.

Special public prosecutor U.U. Lalit had told the court that the bail application of Shahid Balwa and Chandolia should be denied bail as maximum punishment for the specific charges leveled against them was seven years.

Why the Judge denied the Bail?
Honorable and Learned Judge O P Saini gave following 5 reasons for not giving the bail.

1. accused may tamper with evidence

2. providing a safe and secure environment for witnesses to testify truthfully is possible only by keeping accused in custody

3. There was no discrimination faced by kanimozhi as a woman, hence bail on gender grounds was not possible

4. Accused are charged with criminal breach of public trust leading to a life term if found guilty

5. The Judge also highlighted that offence was not simple offence was planned by accused persons to use public money for the personal benefit

The decision of the judge is excellent and perfect and we need a law which will forbid the bail once the charges are framed.
This will help to speed up the trial of the case.

Normally what happens is that once the bail is given and everyone forgets the case and the story of date after date and date and date starts.

Regarding Corruption cases what ever may the prescribed punishment we need a reform which will clearly say that

Once the Charges are framed by the Court in a Corruption case there will be no Bail on any ground if you are sick go to Government Hospital but you as a accused in a corruption case you do not have a right to get a Bail.

Corruption is nothing but cheating whole country

Demand Corruption equals to Death Punishment or 1000 Years of Jail without Bail or Pardon
