English translation of the song Kuchh Na Kaho from movie 1942: A Love Story is in Red Color
Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho
Don’t say anything don’t say anything at all
Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho
Don’t say anything don’t say anything at all
Kya kehna hai, kya sunna hai
What’s there to say what’s there to listen?
Mujhko pata hai, tumko pata hai
I know it, you know it
Samay ka yeh pal tham sa gaya hai
This moment of time has stopped
Aur is pal mein koi nahin hai
And in this moment there is no one
Bas ek main hoon, bas ek tum ho
Except me and you, there is only me and there is only you
Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho
Don’t say anything don’t say anything at all
Kitne gehre halke, shyaam ke rang hai chhalke
Deep and gentle colors of evening have spread everywhere
Parvat se yun utre baadal jaise aanchal dhalke
Clouds are coming down from mountains like saris hem is coming down
Kitne gehre halke, shyaam ke rang hai chhalke
Deep and gentle colors of evening have spread everywhere
Parvat se yun utre baadal jaise aanchal dhalke
Clouds are coming down from mountains like saris hem is coming down
Aur is pal mein koi nahin hai
And in this moment there is no one
Bas ek main hoon, bas ek tum ho
Except me and you, there is only me and there is only you
Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho
Don’t say anything don’t say anything at all
Sulgi sulgi saansein, baheki baheki dhadkan
Passionate breaths and heart is getting nasty thoughts
Maheke maheke shyaam ke saaye, pighle pighle tan mann
Fragrance of evening is coming which is melting body and soul
Sulgi sulgi saansein, baheki baheki dhadkan
Passionate breaths and heart is getting nasty thoughts
Maheke maheke shyaam ke saaye, pighle pighle tan mann
Fragrance of evening is coming which is melting body and soul
Aur is pal mein koi nahin hai
And in this moment there is no one
Bas ek main hoon, bas ek tum ho
Except me and you, there is only me and there is only you
Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho
Don’t say anything don’t say anything at all
Kya kehna hai, kya sunna hai
What’s there to say what’s there to listen?
Mujhko pata hai, tumko pata hai
I know it, you know it
Samay ka yeh pal tham sa gaya hai
This moment of time has stopped
Aur is pal mein koi nahin hai
And in this moment there is no one
Bas ek main hoon, bas ek tum ho
Except me and you, there is only me and there is only you

Ash,
thanks.
1942 was a disappointment to RD fans. Though not much.
Kuch na kaho and Ek Ladki were similar in the sense that the Sthahi kept ascending up the scale and then descends. An experiment of sorts by RD.
Kirti,
thanks.
Its an English song
