India – Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan Resigns from Job of Chief Minister

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has been asked to tender his resignation to Governor K Sankaranarayanan pending an inquiry into the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scam in Mumbai.

Following Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan's submission of resignation to the Governor today

Mr Ashok Chavan met the Governor at Raj Bhavan this morning and tendered his resignation as Chief Minister of Maharashtra along with that of all the members of his Council of Ministers.

The Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and asked him and his Council of Ministers to continue in their offices till alternate arrangements are made.

Now question is who will be new Chief Minister of Maharashtra ?
Following 4 people are in race as per media reports.

1- Prithviraj Chavan,
2- Maharashtra cabinet minister Harshvardhan Patil

3- MP Balasaheb Vikhe Patil he is 80 years old so he should not become CM.
4- Union Minister Mukul Wasnik

It is expected that in 2 or 3 days new CM will be selected , as per experience, I can say congress will take more time, for sacking in corruption they too so many days,

Hope you remember last time what happened in VD and Ramgopal Varma case and resignation of Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Police Complainant should be registered in the case of Aadarsh society scam otherwise India will not get justice.
