Watch Video MLA Suresh Lad Slapping Deputy Collector

Maharashtra -
NCP MLA from Karjat, Suresh Lad slaps deputy collector in his office in Raigad

Nationalist Congress Party MLA Suresh Lad appears to have been caught on camera slapping a Maharashtra deputy collector in public view. Though the incident took place in Raigad district last week

senior bureaucrat, Abhay Kalgudkar, has not filed any formal complaint yet

The video shows Kalgudkar, who had called a meeting last Thursday to resolve a land acquisition-related dispute, pleading with the Karjat legislator to stop, as Lad is seen slapping him

This incident is another addition to the series of political abuse incidents including the one that took place on Monday where Yogendra Behera, state minister for micro, small and medium enterprises in Odisha, asked one of his security official to strap his shoes after the flag hoisting ceremony in an Independence Day function where he was the chief guest.

PTI reported that The incident took place last Thursday during a meeting called by Kargutkar to settle disputes about land acquisition for an oil pipeline.
NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik told PTI that the MLA has denied slapping the official.
"Why is the official silent? Why hasn't he lodged any police complaint, if he was indeed assaulted," Malik said.
The location where the alleged incident took place was not a government office but the premises of a leading corporate house, another NCP leader said.
