Made in China Statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Statue of Unity

The 182-metre-tall memorial statue of Sardar Patel will be installed on Sadhu Bet near Sardar Sarovar dam and has been given a 'National Project' status.

world's tallest statue — the Statue of Unity— is being smelted and cast in China's Nanchang province.
Government says Make in India, here Government itself has given contract to Chinese Company to make a Statue of Unity

As per TOI report The work of building the statue has been sub-contracted by L&T to the world's largest foundry in China — the Jiangxi Toqine Metal Handicrafts Co Ltd

Statistics of the Institute of Indian Foundry men indicate that India is second only to China in the world in the number of foundries it has and their workforce.

Now where is the Make in India?

The real need is that India needs a law which will not allowed any political party to build the statue of any political leader or human being using the taxpayer’s money.

Indian Government don’t have funds for OROP, Don’t have funds for Gas Subsidy,
Don’t have funds for Farmers

But they spend billions and trillions of dollars on the construction of Statue.

Building statue is just a waste of tax payers money.

If political parties want to build statue, they should collect the money from their own party workers and should build it.

I think we need one more statue like this, or bigger than this, for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Statue can be there for the succeeding generations to learn about the leaders, but a huge one is a white elephant.
