List Happiest Countries Ranking Switzerland no. 1 World Happiness index

The first World Happiness Report was published in support of the April 2, 2012 United Nations High Level Meeting on Happiness and Wellbeing

The World Happiness Report is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness. The first report was published in 2012, the second in 2013, and the third on April 23, 2015.

The report is published by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).

Gallup, Inc. (“Gallup”) provided data used in connection with the preparation of the World Happiness Report

The study bases its rankings on data from the Gallup World Poll and takes into account variables such as real GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, corruption levels and social freedoms.

Switzerland topped the third annual World Happiness index produced by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), an initiative under the United Nations.
