Below information is only for Karnataka State , other states are not included.
Just one state that is Karnataka
In Lobbying System also donation is given to political parties but while doing so companies who pay donation to political parties give the reason, give the reason, they are paying money and what they want a political leader should do for their company.
But in India lobbying is not legal and this gives a chance to companies to demand to politician that
ignore the pollution created by company
transfer the honest government officer as he is trying to find the tax frauds of companies
Above are just two examples.
Political parties have been exempted from paying tax in India.
Section 29C of the Representation of People Act, 1951 states that political parties are required to submit contribution details received in excess of Rs 20,000 from any person or a company.
Suggested Reform – It should be compulsory to publish the names of all the persons with amount on internet even if the person donates Rs. Just one , Just Rs. 1
Political parties accept cash as donations.
Is it not possible – Political party says - Give your 10% of black money and enjoy 90% black money.
Suggested Reform - Ban the acceptance of donations by political parties in Cash.
