Lyrics of the song - Ek Akela Iss Shahar Me, Rat Me Aur Dopahar Me
ek akela iss shahar me, raat me aur dopahar me
Day and night single and alone in this city
aabodana dhundata hai aashiyana dhundata hai
searches for food and water and looking for house
ek akela iss shahar me, raat me aur dopahar me
Day and night single and alone in this city
aabodana dhundata hai aashiyana dhundata hai
searches for food and water and looking for house
ek akela iss shahar me
Single and alone in this city
din khalee khalee bartan hai aur rat hai jaise andha kuaan
days are like empty vessels and nights are like bottomless blind well or pits
inn sunee andheree aankho mein aansoo kee jagah aata hain dhuan
eyes have dried up and instead of tears now eyes have smoke in them only
jine kee vajah toh koyee nahee marne kaa bahana dhundata hai
there is no reason to live but just tries to find a reason to die
ek akela iss shahar me, raat me aur dopahar me
Day and night single and alone in this city
aabodana dhundata hai aashiyana dhundata hai
searches for food and water and looking for house
ek akela iss shahar me
single and alone in this city
inn umar se lambee sadkon ko manjil pe pohonchte dekha nahee
the roads are longer than life span never saw the roads reaching the destination
never saw someone reaching to his destination by travelling on these roads.
bas daudatee phirtee rahtee hain hamne toh theherte dekha nahee
always saw running traveling have never seen stopping taking pause
busy life no time for helping others etc
iss ajnabee se shahar me jana pehechana dhundata hai
In this new unknown city I keep looking for a known face
ek akela iss shahar me, raat me aur dopahar me
Day and night single and alone in this city
aabodana dhundata hai aashiyana dhundata hai
searches for food and water and looking for house
ek akela iss shahar me
single and alone in this city
