SP BSP Indirect Vote Congress Wins FDI approval in Lok Sabha
Opposition Party BJP and others demanded withdrawal of FDI in multi brand retail
Today in Lok Sabha Congress, government won the approval to FDI in multi brand retail business.
Congress won the approval because of the SP and BSP who did not vote and thus Congress won the approval.
Staying absent at the time of voting in parliament is another big loophole in Indian Parliamentary democracy.
Total strength of Lok Sabha is 545
253 members voted and Supported Congress that is supported FDI in multi brand retail
218 members voted and said they do not support FDI in multi brand retail.
Lok Sabha also voted on the amendment to the rules notified by the Reserve Bank under Foreign Exchange Management Act (Fema) to enable FDI in multi-brand retail.
254 members voted in favor of the government,
224 members were against.
SP Got 22 members who did not vote.
BSP got 21 members who did not vote.
Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party said they do not support FDI in multi brand retail and they did not vote.
Why they did not vote?
Reason is simple - we do not have Jan Lokpal Bill and law.
Congress is the controller of CBI and its very difficult for any accused person to go against congress.
For me not voting in Parliament is biggest crime done by the any elected politician as its betrayal of Indian citizens and their trust who elected them.
18 parties participated in the debate on FDI in multi-brand retail of which 14 political parties said that they do not support FDI in multi brand retail.
Now Congress had won the approval of FDI in Lok Sabha that is lower house.
Next step is Rajya Sabha that is Upper House
Upper member, Rajya Sabha members will debate in upper house for next two days and then they will vote on the bill.
On Friday, Rajya Sabha members will vote on the FDI.
Rajya Sabha = Total Members = 244
BSP got 15 members and I am sure she will support Congress.
SP got 9 members in Rajya Sabha and directly or indirectly, they will help and vote for congress and FDI.
