Poll Dates for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly Elections

In Gujarat BJP under Mr. Narendra Modi won in 2002 elections.

In 2007, also BJP won the elections because of Modi Performance.

BJP party has 117 of the 182 seats in the Gujarat Assembly.

The BJP has a strong 41-seat presence in the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly.

The term of Gujarat assembly expires on January 17, 2013 and a new House has to be constituted before then.

The term of the Himachal Pradesh assembly expires on January 10, 2013.


The 2007 elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh states were two-phased.
Currently both states are controlled and ruled by BJP kings, that is BJP chief Ministers.

Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath today announced the dates for elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Assembly elections will be held in Gujarat for 182 Seats

Assembly elections will be held in Himachal Pradesh for 68 Seats.


Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath today said that elections in Himachal Pradesh will be held in only one Phase.

Himachal Pradesh Election Dates  are below

Date of election for Himachal Pradesh -  4th November
Counting will start from December 20

Gujarat Assembly Election Dates  are below

Gujarat polls will be held in 2 phases
Dates for Gujarat elections - 13 and 17 December
Phase 1 = 13 December
Phase 2 = 17 December
Counting will start from December 20



I think in Both states BJP will win the elections in flying colors.
