Gurgaon resident Kshama Chopra was returning after a routine medical check-up along with her husband and parents on Saturday when the Tata Indigo they were travelling in was hit by a speeding BMW.

The collision was so intense that the Indigo was thrown into the air.
It turned several times over before crashing on the ground. Kshama, who was pregnant, and the driver of her car died on the spot.

Her husband is still in the ICU with multiple fractures.
Her father suffered a broken backbone; her mother too is battling for her life in hospital. But almost a week after the accident, the police are yet to make any arrests in the case.

The BMW was racing at 100 kms per hour.
It allegedly belongs to a property dealer in Gurgaon.
The police originally said that his son, a college student who was also seriously injured in the accident, was driving the car. However, the property dealer later said his driver, who is now missing, was at the wheel.

After media uproar now after one week a close aide of the car owner Devender Sehrawat, has surrendered at a court in Gurgaon.
The man identified as Rajesh, claims he was driving the car that killed two people and injured three others.

But media has reported that this could be a cover up to save Mr. Sehrawat's son.
Initially it was reported that his son was at the wheel, when the BMW accident happened on May 5 which killed pregnant female.
Over the last one week, the police haven't managed to question anybody in the case.
The police are yet to record the testimony of eye-witnesses and interview the other passengers in the BMW.

Kshama's husband is still in the ICU with multiple fractures.
His father suffered a broken backbone; his mother too is battling for her life in hospital.

Why delay in action taking?
