166 MPs Political Parties Illegal Constructions and No Action Taker – DNA RTI Expose

DNA filed the RTI application to Central Public Works Department (CPWD) which revealed a list of at least 166 MPs, top political leaders and official party headquarters willfully disobeying the law and creating unauthorized structures without fear of any punishment.




Some unauthorized construction dates back to Year 1998, everyone knows this, the department, government department who should take action on illegal or unauthorized construction hesitate or fear to take any action.

I do not know what is the real reason unauthorized construction of Politicians, Member of Parliament [law makers] and offices of political parties is not demolished by the government department.

In Delhi when poor people or middle class people do any unauthorized construction or construction without permission CPWD takes action on them, they are fined or construction gets demolished some type of action is taken and some times the action is delayed every month, why the action gets delayed as a Indian I am sure you are smart enough to know and understand this.

But when the law makers or politicians break the same laws the government departments get busy finding the loopholes and save the politicians.
The government department gives different reasons for not taking action on the illegal construction.

In RTI application following was revealed

1. Some unauthorized construction dates back to Year 1998

2. These unauthorized constructions include temporary and permanent rooms, extra office spaces, toilets and portable cabins.

3. details unauthorized construction in the national office of political party the Indian National Congress at 24, Akbar Road

4. details unauthorized construction in the national office of political party the BJP at 11, Ashoka Road

5. Details unauthorized construction in the national office of political party the BSP at 14, GRG Road.

6. the BJP’s Delhi unit and the Congress Seva Dal offices are all part of this list

The list has the names of the following politicians who are guilty of not following the law and not fearing the law. All built rooms or modified their bungalows without the mandatory clearance from the authorities.
