and sent to Tihar Jail

Special CBI Judge O P Saini rejected the bail plea of karunanidi's daughter Kanimozhi.


DMK party chief karunanidi's daughter Kanimozhi has been chargesheeted by the CBI for allegedly accepting Rs 200 crore bribe for Kalaignar TV.
In Kalaignar TV she is a 20 per cent share holder.



Today (CBI) court rejected the bail pleas of DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV chief Sharad Kumar, named as co-conspirators in the 2G spectrum scam. They are expected to be arrested soon.
After Arrest they will be sent to Tihar Jail.

CBI had named Kanimozhi, daughter of DMK chief M. Karunanidhi, and Sharad Kumar as co-conspirators in its April 25 supplementary chargesheet

Kanimozhi and Kumar hold 20 per cent stakes each in the Kalaignar TV while former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal holds 60 per cent share.

Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar have been charge sheeted by CBI for allegedly conspiring with Raja.

Kanimozhi has been charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act for taking bribe through Kalaignar TV a channel owned by DMK in which the bribe of Rs 200 crore was routed from Shahid Usman Balwa's firm DB Realty.

CBI presented before the court, details of the Rs 200 crore transactions by the Kalaignar TV.

The CBI said that a total number of 16 bank accounts were used in the transactions.
The money first came from DB Realty to Kusegaon.

It then went to Cineyug Film Company from where it was routed to Kalaignar TV.

The investigation into the case disclosed that money had travelled from DB Realty to Kalaignar TV.

The supplementary chargesheet filed by CBI also named as co-accused
Sharad Kumar of Kalaignar TV,
Karim Morani of Cineyug Films,
and Asif Balwa and Rajiv B Agarwal of Kusegaon Realty.

The CBI also argued that Asif Balwa, who is the director of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd, was the front man in the entire scam.

Special CBI court dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Cineyug Films' founder Karim Morani, named as co-conspirator in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

DMK MP Kanimozhi on Monday filed a bail application in the Delhi High court.

DMK chief M Karunanidhi and Dayanidhi Maran arrived in Delhi
to meet Kanimozhi, who is currently in Tihar Jail.
He will be accompanied by his son M K Stalin
Reports also said that Karunanidhi may also meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
