Enforcement Directorate to attach Properties of former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda - Properties more than 130 Crore

Enforcement Directorate to attach Properties of former
Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda - Properties more than 130 Crore

On March 4 Enforcement Directorate filed a charge sheet at a special court in Ranchi against former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda accusing him of amassing illegal wealth of over Rs 1,340 crore

ED also suspects that Koda has invested in foreign countries like Dubai, Sweden, Thailand, Indonesia and Liberia. ED is probing the illegal investments and wrote letters to officials of those countries.

Enforcement Directorate, ED is probing charges of huge illegal investments and hawala transactions against former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda and his teammates.

ED got an approval order from the adjudicating authority under the Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) Act in the national capital.
Under PMLA properties of the accused are attached as "proceeds of crime"

It is said that ED will attach the properties worth Rs 130 crore or more than 200 Crore

Food for thought –

When Chargesheet is for Rs 1,340 crore
Then how come only Rs 130 crore will be attached?

All the properties should be confiscated

Which Properties will be attached by ED?
1. properties primarily in the state of Jharkhand
2. properties primarily in the state of Bihar
3. Properties owned by Koda's associates like Binod and Vikash Sinha, who are in judicial custody

Currently Koda is investigated by Income Tax department, the CBI and the Jharkhand Vigilance Bureau regarding the alleged illegal investments.

Do you remember once the ex minister Sukhram caught with hard currency of 30 crores at his own door step?
And what happened?
Not a single politician has ever been punished in India.
