Racism and caste system are the two sides of a same coin

Racism and caste system are the two sides of a same coin:

Racism is found in USA and Europe and caste system is found in India, even in Muslim community they got Shia and Sunni types and others.

Race:

Race can be defined in many ways. Simply race is defined as a local geographic or global human population distinguished as a more or less distinct group by genetically transmitted physical characteristics.

A group of people united or classified together on the basis of common history, nationality, or geographic distribution: the German race, Indian race.

Racism:

Racism can be defined as, the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

Discrimination or prejudice based on race. The inability or refusal to recognize the rights, needs, dignity, or value of people of particular races or geographical origins.

More widely, the devaluation of various traits of character or intelligence as ‘typical’ of particular peoples.

The belief that some races are inherently superior (physically, intellectually, or culturally) to others and therefore have a right to dominate them.

Effects of Racism: In USA and Europe, white people treated black as inferior group of people, in our caste system shudra, harijan, untouchable has same status he is inferior.

Black people were denied many rights, segregated railways and streetcars, public waiting rooms, restaurants, boarding houses, theaters, public parks, libraries and cemeteries.

Separate schools, hospitals and other public institutions, generally of inferior quality, were designated for blacks.

The laws also required blacks to use separate phone booths and bathrooms, and in some cases, deprived blacks of the right to vote.

Same we can say with the caste system, in our caste system, we got Shudra, harijan, untouchable, a group of humans. Harijan has to stay outside of the village, when someone superior is coming he has to hide, etc.

The treatment which black people in USA and Europe received that same treatment our harijan brothers received. Shudra was always dominated by others,

Today also political parties in India are using this caste system to keep we Indians the slave to there thoughts and actions. You will say now days we are progressing,

Then what is the reason newspaper and media is using terms dailit, what is the reason

Political parties are demanding reservation for only there caste, not for all poor Indians.
We Indians will not make progress until and unless we accept that Racism and caste system are nearly same, a two sides of a coin.

Like America and Europe, they have successfully got rid of the racism, In India we got the castism, and caste system and we Indians have to get the rid of the caste system.

Once we are united, No one can stop our progress otherwise forever we will keep fighting on the name of caste and religion.

What black people faced in USA and Europe, In India harijan brothers faced, and still in India in many villages this rules are still followed.

We must accept that caste system and racism are same, a two part of same coin, just name and nation is changed but effects are same.

How well described. It happens all over the world. It is a fact created by the almighty.Unfortunately for us, our dear politicians use this to divide us instead of working towards creating a well knit society. But I must say you have analysed it very well.

Racism is bad but caste system is worse... as caste again differentiates the race and in India it is so religiously followed by that it seems impossible to get rid of it..nice blog..and really a sensible post...

“When the missionaries arrived, the Africans had the land and the missionaries had the Bible. They taught us to pray with our eyes closed. When we opened them, they had the land and we had the Bible.” — Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Racism is rooted in the founding Christian belief that all non-Christians were servants/soldiers of Satan, the relentless and cunning enemy of the Christian god and all morality (1 Cor. 10:20*21, Gal. 4:8*9, John 8:44 for examples). Christians considered pagans who converted to be morally cleansed and *purified.* Christians called pagans and Jews who rejected conversion obstinate, atheists, and an infection in the world, and treated them as a constant threat to Christian purity.

Racism is the worst thing the world has seen. It's a white man's tool to subjugate, dominate, convert and loot his resources, his mind, his everything. Religion ( Christianity ) was also used as a tool to aid this in this inhuman endeavor. 2000 years of Hell on Earth with killing of 2 BILLION people on 6 continents was due to this.

Varna, Jati was quite effective and good during olden times. But caste, the British invention as practiced today is quite bad. Read about it here why and how British invented it, again to divide and rule Indians.

Read and learn from history. The white man has caused damage to every civilization and it continues even today.
