US Citizens Lose Right to Privacy ISPs to spy and sell american users data
On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to scrap internet privacy rules recently created by the Federal Communications Commission that would have required internet service providers to get permission from users before selling their browsing history and other personal data to advertisers, among other measures.
The Senate made the same vote last week, and President Trump has signaled his intent to sign the resolution.
What does this mean?
First Understand the meaning of ISP –
An Internet service provider (ISP) is a company that provides services for accessing and using the Internet.
FCC that is Federal Communications Commission that would have required internet service providers to get permission from users before selling their browsing history and other personal data to advertisers, among other measures.
Just think if company would have asked you to give permission what you would have done?
Say No, you do not want ISP track you and sell your information
Or you would have said I want 80% share in that information selling contract.
My Information My Data My Profits simple idea to make money.
But American Politicians cancelled the FCC law and now ISP, the internet providing companies can sell the user data without their knowledge and permission to anyone.
If the privacy rules had been left alone, they would have gone into effect at the end of this year that is 2017. But because of the way the new resolution was written, Now FCC won’t be able to rewrite similar rules.
But internet users lost the privacy protection and now American Internet service providers will be able to track, spy on the browsing behavior of their users and sell information about it to advertisers without consent.
Now ISP will create the Data file of every user which will include 100% details of a user and it will get sold to advt companies.
What the Data file of User will contain?
1-which sites you visit
2-on which sites you are a member
3-which food you like and from where you order food
4-which social media sites you joined, who are your friends on that social media site
5-which adult sites you joined
6-which adult store you visited and what you bought
7-what is your sexual orientation straight or bio or gay or lesbian
8-which political sites you visit
9- which science related sites you visit
10- what is your education which topics you like and all your personal history likes and dislikes
It is wrong to compare ISP company with Google or Facebook.
The user got the right not to use Google Search Engine, He can use Bing or He can use duck search engine which does not collect any information.
Same with Facebook, there is no compulsion to use Facebook you can use other social media apps.
But ISP companies are limited, in your area if there is just one ISP provides access to internet then user don’t have any choice he will have to buy the internet connection from that one and only company.
This is going to be one of the biggest mistake of President Donald Trump, He needs to interfere and cancel this law otherwise he will lose the next President Election.
Today users won’t understand what has happened but in coming years they will know exactly what happened as they will get surprises from the unknown parts of USA or China.
Who wil benefit from this?
Chinese and Russian companies will benefit because of this , they will buy the user data of american citizens and what they will do Presidnet Trump or no one can imagine that
