CBFC Film Makers cannot use real names in movies

A Gujarati movie Power of Patidar is based on the Hardik Patel and the agitation spearheaded by him for quota has been denied clearance by the censor board on several grounds, including usage of real names in the film as per media reports.

The Board raised objections against the usage of real names of all key leaders of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti headed by Hardik Patel, who is leading the agitation to get OBC status for the Patel community.

The decision by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was conveyed to the makers of Power of Patidar after a committee of the statutory body watched the movie on Friday in Mumbai.

Director Mahesh Patel told to PTI “The CBFC told us that we have used real names of Hardik Patel and other PAAS leaders in the movie, which according to them, is not allowed. The Board also raised its objection to the word ‘Patidar’ in the title,”

Why not use real names in the movies as movie is based on the real happenings

One more foolish judgement CBFC should have taken the objections to the any wrong facts shown in the movie, but Censor Board denied permission saying real names cannot be used.

Only for saying we keep saying Satyamev Jayate and on the other side we always try to hide the truth.

Satyamev Jayate means Truth alone triumphs
