BJP Government legalizes Child Labor below 14 can now work

The original, previous  child labor law banned employment of children below 14 in 18 hazardous industries

As per the new amendment law act children below 14 years can work in non-hazardous industries provided it is only during holidays or after school hours.
As per new law there is no penalty provision for parents for the first offense.
No penalty means this will increase child labor.
In case of parents, the repeat offenders may be penalized with a monetary fine up to Rs 10,000 only.

For the  first offense, the penalty for employers is fixed at Rs. 50,000 only
For second offense employer will get imprisonment between 1 to 3 years.

After the Cabinet approval, the government will move official amendments to the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2012 in Parliament.

The above amendments will just increase the child labor.

Its duty of government to stop child labor but all these amendments promote child labor in India.

Young girls will be easily get hired by rich families for working in their homes on the name of education.
Rs. 10,000 only any employer will pay to the parents as they will get the 24 hour child labor .
