Supreme Court Struck downs ban on hookah bars in Mumbai Chennai Ahmedabad

The Supreme Court struck down the ban on sale and use of hookahs where smoking is legally permitted.
The use of hookahs could be permitted in smoking zones

In short law says that smoking is permitted only in the assign zone, and government cannot ban it legally.

Civic bodies or police department banned the Hookah Bars in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Chennai.

Now Supreme Court of India has set aside the judgments passed by three high courts three years ago that upheld such prohibitions

In July 2011 BMC banned the stocking and sale of cigarettes and tobacco even in hotels and restaurants and prohibited use of the hookah in smoking rooms there.

After that appeal was filed in the Bombay High Court, But Bombay High Court rejected the appeal.

Same happened in the Mumbai and Madras High Court

Then appeal was filed in Supreme Court of India

And now Supreme Court of India gave another historic judgement by keeping aside the judgments passed by three high courts

Self restraint only will help here.Of course rules play a role. Can't understand why the court has struck down it.
