LPG Cylinder Prices Increased as Dealers Commission Increased
BJP government raised the commission paid to dealers.
And result is Subsidized cooking gas (LPG) rates have been hiked by Rs. 3 per cylinder
As per practice the increase in commission is passed on to consumers.
Dealers' commission was last revised in December 2013 when it was hiked by Rs. 3.46 per cylinder to Rs. 40.71.
Delhi Cost of Subsidized LPG per 14.2 Kg
New Cost – Rs. 417
Old Cost – Rs. 414
Mumbai Cost of Subsidized LPG per 14.2 Kg
New Cost – Rs. 452
Old Cost – Rs. 448.50
The cost of non-subsidized LPG hiked to Rs. 883.50 per 14.2-kg bottle from Rs. 880 previously
Prior to the December hike in LPG rates, price of cooking gas was raised in October 2012 because of an increase in dealers' commission.
