India Girl Killing Country a shame Indian female Infanticide


In the 19th century, British rulers  tried to eradicate female infanticide.
British rulers did many good things for India when they were ruling India


The UN reports approximately 200 million girls in the world today are ‘missing’.

India and China are said to eliminate more female infants than the number of girls born in the US each year.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has gone on record to describe female foeticide and infanticide as a “national shame” calling for a “crusade” to save girl babies.

In a report by the Lancet, the world’s oldest and most respected medical journal, over a 20-year period, ten million female foetuses have been aborted in India

In 2011, the National Crimes Record Bureau in India declared that the Indian police had received almost 100,000 cases of cruelty towards women by their husband or relatives, and more often than not these cases were related to they carrying female foetuses.

An Indian proverb says raising a daughter is like watering your neighbor’s garden and the burden of having girls means many are killed at birth.

A bride's parents must provide a dowry which often bankrupts the family. As a result female infanticide is a widespread tradition

Today also Many Indians Accept First girl as a girl child but second time they want a Baby Boy if they come to know that second child is a girl child the girl child is murdered in womb this keeps happening until they get a boy child

Many times in India even female is murdered by family for giving birth to a girl child

Many Indians believe that a female who gives birth to a girl child is an unlucky girls and she brings bad luck to the family

Sometimes if a wife says no to abortion then she is tortured until she gives up, she is given deadly illegal medicines which result abortion or a death of a female

Traditions and cultural beliefs in India are resulting in the murder of girls in India often before they’re even born.
In the past 20 years more than ten million female foetuses have been aborted as per media reports

Many times Indian female has to go  for abortion after abortion until she gives birth to baby boy, male child

If female child is detected the go for abortion

In 1961, for every 1,000 boys under the age of seven, there were 976 girls in India.

India’s 2001 census shows a drop in the number of girls 6-years-old and under per 1,000 boys, to 927, compared to 962 in 1981.

Today, the figure has dropped below 914 girls per 1,000 boys.

According to reports, India’s ratio of young girls to boys is one of the lowest in the world

India needs to bring reforms , good proper reforms which will stop the killing of girl child in India
Example -
Government of India needs to bring the following reforms which will 100% stop the killing of female girl child by families

1- Reservation benefits only for girl child

2-Government jobs only for Girl child

3-Prime Minister, Chief Minister and President of India post reserved for females only

4-Compulsory dowry to be paid to the parents of a girl as girl comes to live with the family of boy

such type of changes in a policy will stop killing of girl child by Indian families
