PM Manmohan Singh Will PM resign after returning from USA
On July 10, the Supreme Court in a landmark verdict struck down the legal provision that protects a lawmaker from disqualification after conviction in a criminal case. The Supreme Court ruled that MPs or MLAs shall stand disqualified from date of conviction.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his team brought the ordinance to save the convicted politicians
Union Cabinet had passed the ordinance on Tuesday over-ruling Supreme Court's judgement.
The President, who was forwarded the ordinance cleared by the Cabinet on Tuesday, sought clarifications separately from home minister Sushil Shinde, parliamentary affairs minister Kamal Nath and law minister Kapil Sibal.
Ordinances are meant for urgent situations during the periods when Parliament is not in session.
What was the need to bring the Ordinance?
Answer - To save RJD boss Lalu Prasad and future criminals
AAP opposed that ordinance and its content
BJP opposed the ordnance not the content
The Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party had also met President Pranab Mukherjee asking him not to sign the ordinance.
Today Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi openly opposed the ordinance on convicted legislators and said it was a complete nonsense.
He said, "The ordinance is a complete nonsense, should be torn and thrown away."
We cannot continue to make these small compromises," Rahul Gandhi added.
Now this clearly shows that Rahul Gandhi is ready to take charge
Just like Advani who gave charge to Modi
Now PM Manmohan Singh should give the charge to Rahul Gandhi
Ordinance episode clearly shows that PM and his team has lost the touch with ground realities
And aspirations of young Indians, young voters
Do you think he should resign from his post when returns from US TRIP?
