Indian Express reported that Indian Army had moved its two units towards New Delhi without notifying the establishment on January 16.

a key military unit movement from the mechanized infantry based in Hisar (Haryana) as a part of the 33rd Armoured Division (which is a part of 1 Corps, a strike formation based in Mathura and commanded by Lt Gen A K Singh) in the direction of the capital, 150 km away.


It also reported that movement of an entire unit of Mechanized Infantry, with Russian-made Armoured Fighting Vehicles carried on 48 tank transporters.

Media also reported that with this another army unit of the Agra-based 50 Para Brigade was also moved on the same day.

About this Indian Prime Minister was informed on early morning dawn of the January 17.

After that Defense Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma was also instructed to cut short his visit to Malaysia and fly back to India.

After coming back to India immediately he took control of situation and sought an explanation from Lt Gen A K Choudhary, Director General Military Operations, on the suspected movement of two Army units and what it meant for.

The reply was that the Army was carrying out exercises to check its ability to make quick deployments of key units during fog.

After that both units returned to their base.

Army has not denied the movement of army units.

Now question is was it a Army Coup or movement to safe guard Army Chief.

Army units moved same time when the Army Chief filed an application in Supreme Court of India regarding his age.

Any ways Indian Army has shown its might it just needs the tiger to handle it .
