Why Government Lokpal is weak and only for name sake No use do not spend money on such Lok pal organization





One after another introducing the weak Lokpal once again government has brought puppet or weak Lokpal.

The Lokpal will not enjoy any real powers.

The Lokpal will be a tiger without teeth and who will be staying in a Cage.

Lokpal will not get the investigative powers.

All the powers will stay with the Government.

Currently Government decides everything regarding CBI.

After Lokpal also Government will control everything regarding CBI.
For example
Central Bureau of Investigation -- power to decide transfers and postings within the organization will be decided by Government.

Now there will be a selection committee which will choose CBI chief.
a selection committee comprising the prime minister, leader of opposition and chief justice of India or one of his nominees.

In this case majority is with the politician so only that person will become CBI chief who will obey all political parties.

According to the draft bills, CBI will report to the Lokpal only with regard to cases referred to it by the anti-corruption ombudsman.

Lokpal can make inquiry against Prime Minister only if the Three-fourths of the Lokpal members will say yes. The proceedings will be held in-camera.

In this case we citizens of India will never know the truth.

The bill states the Lokpal will be a 9-member body, including the chairperson and it will have a 50% reservation for OBCs, SCs, STs and minorities.

There will be a quota in the search committee as well that will make recommendations to a 5-person selection panel comprising PM, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Speaker of Lok Sabha, Chief Justice of India or a nominee and a legal expert nominated by President.

In this also government enjoys majority so it’s useless.

As Government has brought reservation for this now I hope government will reserve the post of Prime Minister and Chief Minister also.

We want reservation for this above post also.

With regard to government employees, all categories including group C and D, will be subject to the Lokpal's jurisdiction. With regard to A and B category officials, the CVC has to report to the Lokpal that will mean mandatory filing of preliminary enquiries (PEs) and reporting status of investigations Lokpal. Under the bill's provisions, CVC cannot close investigations against officers belonging to the two senior categories.

With regard to Group C and D, Lokpal can ask CVC to investigate cases. It will be empowered to review these cases. However, CVC can investigate cases against C&D on its own as well. It can also refer the cases to CBI on its own.

The bill requires CVC to report the status of its investigations after 60 days and submit a report every quarter.

What is the use of Lokpal and what Lokpal will do

Lokpal will just check the files.

I just hope that this Lokpal Bill draft prepared by government will be rejected by the intelligent Mps.

After this all the Mps will be happy as we will have to wait another few months or years for this Bill.

Government has clearly showed that what ever we do they will bring the Weak Lokpal Bill.
