Following are 3 easy methods of Multiplication



Method 1

If a figure has to be multiplied by 5 , put a zero after the given figure and then divide it by 2.

For example –

128 multiply 5 = 1280 divide by 2
Answer is 640.



Method 2

If a figure has to be multiplied by 25 , put two zeroes after the given figure and then divide it by 4

For example –

128 multiply 25 =

Now put two zeroes then divide it by 4

Thus

128 multiply 25 = 12800 divide 4
Answer = 3200

Method 3 –

If a figure has to be multiplied by 125 , put three zeroes after the given figure and then divide it by 8.

Example –

128 multiply 25 = 128000 divide by 8

Now put three zeroes after the given figure and then divide it by 8.

128000 divide by 8

Answer = 16000
