Is it wastage American tax payers money?

Under Barack Obama, US civilian assistance to Pakistan has
tripled to $1.5bn a year

Many of the Pakistani kids do not have schools.
Many Pakistani boys and girls do not get to eat a one time meal.

Sesame Street is an American kids program which was aired in America during 1990.
The show was popular in America.

USAID has dedicated $20 million to remake “Sesame Street” for Pakistani children. The four-year series will feature 78 episodes in Urdu and 56 in other local languages. The show, called “SimSim Humara,” will be set in a bustling village.
The show will feature Rani, the young daughter of a peasant farmer in a village setting
The neighbors will gather on verandas.
Rani, a cute six-year-old Muppet, the child of a peasant farmer, with pigtails, flowers in her hair and a smart blue-and-white school uniform.

Her curiosity and questions about the world will, it is hoped, make her a role model for Pakistani children.

The programme, which will start filming this summer in Lahore and begin airing in the autumn, is targeted particularly at deprived children outside the big cities and will be shown on the national state broadcaster, PTV

"The idea is to prepare and inspire a child to go on the path of learning, and inspire the parents of the child to think that the child must be educated," said Faizaan Peerzada, the chief operating officer at the Lahore-based Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop, which was awarded the commission for the project in collaboration with Sesame Workshop, the creator of the American show. "This is a very serious business, the education of the children of Pakistan at a critical time."

What is USAID?
In 1961, the Foreign Assistance Act was signed into law and USAID was created by executive order.
U.S. foreign assistance has always had the twofold purpose of furthering America's foreign policy interests in expanding democracy and free markets while improving the lives of the citizens of the developing world.
Spending less than one-half of 1 percent of the federal budget, USAID works around the world to achieve these goals.

USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State.

With headquarters in Washington, D.C., USAID's strength is its field offices around the world

From Year 2007 to 2010 how much money USAID has given to Pakistan as a gift or aid?

•Year 2007 - $507

•Year 2008 - $407

•Year 2009 - $1147

•Year 2010 - $1300

Now this money is utilized properly or not should be seen by American Citizens.

Majority times in Asian nations the fund money never reaches to poor Pakistani kids or Indian Kids or which ever nation America or UK helps in reality poor kids do not get the benefits.
