Ottavio Quattrocchi Dies End of Bofors Case

74-year-old Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, who was a key figure in the Bofors corruption case died in Milan following a stroke.

Central Bureau of Investigation [CBI] tried to arrest him for 25 years but could not lay hand him

The CBI had  tried to extradite Quattrocchi to India but it lost two extradition appeals, first in Malaysia in 2002, and then in Argentina in 2007.

Quattrochi left India in 1993 to avoid arrest or one can say he ran away from India fearing Indian police and CBI

On Bofors Case CBI, spend Rs. 250 Crore with result zero up to year 2005
