China Ex. Railway Minister Liu Zhijun sentenced to death for corruption and misuse of power

A Beijing court has sentenced China's former minister of railways Liu Zhijun to death, with a two-year reprieve, for bribery and abuse of power

He headed the railways from 2003 to 2011

He was accused of helping others and

1)  
accepting bribes to the tune of USD 10.53 million over 25 years

2)  
win promotions

3)  
project contracts

4)  
cargo transportation contracts

5)  
railway construction contracts

6)  
acquisition of shares in a bullet train wheel set company, and with enterprise financing by breaking regulations and applying favoritism

Beijing's No. 2 Intermediate court sentenced the former railway official to death with a 2-year reprieve, which is normally commuted to a life sentence, on charges of accepting bribes.

Liu was also stripped of his political rights for life and all his personal assets confiscated.

On a second charge of abusing his position, Liu was sentenced to 10 years prison.

Death is not punishment,since they don't realize their flaws.And also if it isn't a cooked story,well and good.
