Who is Divya Spandana?
Divya Spandana is professionally known as Ramya. She is an Indian film actress and politician.she is the Congress's social media chief
She primarily works in Kannada film industry, but also appears in Tamil and Telugu language films.
Ramya is the recipient of two Filmfare Awards South, an Udaya Award, and a Karnataka State Film Award.
Ramya made her acting debut in the 2003 Kannada-language film Abhi.
she won the Udaya Award and Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the Amrithadhare (2005) and Tananam Tananam (2006) respectively.
Her performance as the eponymous heroine in the 2011 romantic drama Sanju Weds Geetha garnered her further critical success and a Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress.
Ramya has also starred in the 2011 blockbuster fantasy film Katari Veera Surasundarangi and other commercially successful films including 2016 epic-fantasy Nagarahavu.
Divya Spandana is the Congress's social media chief and under her Congress social media presence increased never before.
One of the best appointment made by the Congress Party, She even deserves a Lok Sabha seat in 2019 elections.
She joined the Indian Youth Congress in 2012. She became the Indian National Congress (INC) Member of Parliament from Mandya constituency in Karnataka by winning the by-election in 2013.
In the 2014 Indian general election, she again contested from Mandya but was defeated by C. S. Puttaraju by a margin of 5,500 votes.
In May 2017 she was given the task of reviving INC's social media wing and was made national head of Congress's digital team at national level. She took over the social media team from Deepender Singh Hooda.
On Tuesday Divya Spandana was booked in Lucknow's Gomtinagar for a tweet calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a "thief".
She was booked under Section 124-A of the Indian Penal Code (sedition) and Section 67 of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act.
The FIR, filed by lawyer Syed Rizvan Ahmed, says Spandana tweeted an "utterly insulting" post Monday; it shows Modi painting the word "chor" -- or thief -- on the forehead of a likeness of himself.
On Monday Spandana tweeted a photoshopped picture of Modi painting “chor” (thief) on his wax statue.
Not only Rahul Gandhi but many more said and twitted PM Modi is a thief. Rahul Gandhi accused Modi and Ambani of carrying out a Rs 1,30,000 crore surgical strike on the Indian defence forces.
The FIR said Spandana's tweet gave rise to "hatred" against the prime minister -- a democratically elected leader -- and defamed him. The post made fun of India in the international arena
A tweet can never become a sedition , tweet is just a expression a thought.
After this FIR who will dare to use word thief against PM Narendra Modi?
Is it scare tactic?
Good opportunity for Congress again to start a new campaign regarding this
one or two or thousand what will happen when thousands and millions tweets get tweeted with same subject.
Supreme Court of India needs to scrap the sedition section , In a true Democracy there is no place for sedition , because if any one will try to revolt against government of India using weapons Indian arm forces will kill them.

Let Narendra Modi lie or speak the truth, till the whole thing comes to light, one cannot call him 'Thief'. If all the pros and cons, point by point are analyzed, things may turn topsy turvy. And moreover he has not opened his mouth to accept or deny it. So how can he be called a thief?
I am not his fan nor am I a politician. Here I speak about the ethics, which the Indians used to follow. Indians give respect to age. Had it been Sonia who called him thief, it is not condemnable because she is of his age or more. It is a crystal clear fact that whatever comes from Rahul's mouth is with the aid of Spantana and she is his Tongue.
I happened to hear an interview of Nirmala, she says all these things have been started much early from the UPA time. And at that time also Ambani was in the deal. The dessault people were not assigning the work to HAL, as they were not satisfied with HAL. Moreover this govt. has assigned HAL much more works than the UPA, who had given orders to private sector also.
I don't know about its reliability.

In past also other Prime Ministers were given bad names, and they must accept that this is politics and India is a secular democratic nation if they want they can file defamation cases against them
but not a sedition case to silent voices of Indian citizens.
