Residence - They live in Ghaziabad near Delhi with their two children.
His father was an engineer and he spent most of his childhood living in small northern Indian towns like Sonepat, Mathura and Hissar.
He did his schooling from Campus School

Kejriwal is married to Sunita, who is also an IRS officer and his batch mate from National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie
Presently Sunita is working as an Additional Director in Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Kejriwal graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a B.Tech. In Mechanical Engineering in 1989.
He was a resident of Nehru Hall of Residence.
Kejriwal joined Tata Steel right after his graduation from IIT Kharagpur.
Kejriwal quit his job with Tata Steel in 1992
After that he spent some time working with Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, the Ramakrishna Mission in the North-East India and Nehru Yuva Kendra.
Kejriwal joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1992 after qualifying through the Civil Services Examination.
In February 2006, he voluntarily resigned from the IRS as Joint Commissioner in Income Tax Department
After voluntary resignation from job, he founded Parivartan, a Delhi based citizens’ movement which works on ensuring a just, transparent and accountable governance

IRS officer-turned-anti-corruption crusader Arvind Kejriwal won the Roman Magsaysay award in 2006 for his contribution to the enactment of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005.
In 2006 after resigning from IRS, he founded an NGO Public cause Research Foundation
Public Cause Research Foundation was set up on the 19th of December, 2006 by Magsaysay awardee Arvind Kejriwal, former journalist Manish Sisodia and Abhinandan Sekhri to ensure that society becomes more inclusive and that real power rests with the common citizens of India.
To this end, Mr Kejriwal donated the prize money of his Magsaysay award as corpus fund to PCRF.
The Foundation works to collect, research, analyse, and disseminate information about various aspects of governance to ensure that rules and laws are enacted and enforced and policies implemented. For this, PCRF uses the RTI act extensively and promotes awareness of the act.
Arvind Kejriwal joined Anna Hazare started fight for Janlokpal Bill and a one team was formed known as Team Anna
Team Anna got support from educated and politically aware Indian citizens but they did not get the support from any political party.
It is very simple No criminal or thief will appoint a police officer to arrest him. In simple language Janlokpal law or bill means a appointment of police officer to arrest and control corruption done by the politicians
