NDA recruitment scam Rs 1.76 crore Colonel Kulbir Singh and 6 others arrested
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) busted a major recruitment scam in the National Defence Academy.

CBI has arrested six people, including a serving Colonel, for allegedly receiving bribe for jobs.

Names of the persons arrested by CBI

NDA employee Ramesh Gaikwad
4.  
Bal Kishen Kanojia - runs a food stall in Pune
5.  
Vishnu Sharma  - employee of Kanojia

alleged tout Manoj Sheetal Kar
7.  
alleged tout Dattatre Sheetal Kar

Colonel Kulbir Singh was arrested from the Colaba military
station.


Pune - CBI court remanded them in the CBI custody till July 2.

CBI officials raided 14 places in Pune, Mumbai, Gurgaon and
Sonepat.
CBI officials told to media that they have recovered Rs
1.76 Crore from different locations in connection with the case.

Rs four lakh was seized from the residence of Col Singh.

Rs 82 lakh was seized from the residence of an associate of the Army officer

Rs 50 lakh cash was recovered from Kanojia

Rs 18 lakh from Gaikwad's residence

Rs 3 lakh from Manoj Sheetal Kar

Rs 3.20 lakh were recovered from Vishnu Sharma's residence.


CBI told to media that bribes were taken for recruiting subordinate staff like cook, gardener, library and laboratory attendants, cadet orderly and lower division clerks.

Media reported that accused took Rs three to four lakh from each candidate to give them appointment for subordinate staff.

What they did how scam happened?
The persons who wanted job agreed to pay bribe to the accused.
Then accused took the signatures of candidates, the bribe givers on the blank sheet and later they filled it with correct answers.
