Story Plot of the Movie – Shershaah

This is a story of a Param Vir Chakra awardee soldier - Captain Vikram Batra, who sacrificed his life fighting for India and became a household name during the Kargil War in 1999.

Captain Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded with the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest and most prestigious award for valor, for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War in Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

As a kid Vikram Batra sees the show Param Veer Chakra running on Doordarshan in his neighbors house an decides to become a solider.

A grown-up Vikram is now a soldier and is posted at Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir and allotted to the Delta company of the 13th Battalion of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles aka 13 JAK RIF.

This isn't the first time that Captain Vikram Batra has been portrayed in a movie. He appeared in 2003 film L.O.C. Kargil as well and was portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan.

If you are a SRK Fan sure you will remember SRK, you will enjoy it.

Siddarth Malhotra's first double role but has no scenes together.

There's a dialogue in film by Captain Vikram Batra - "Dil Maange More" that loosely translates to "The Heart Desires more" which was originally borrowed from the tagline of Pepsi, and was used in its advertisements during the 90s.

In movie Vikram Batra uses "Dil Maange More" codeword to inform the seniors that he and his team has completed the mission, captured the Indian point controlled by enemies

"Live by chance, love by choice and kill by profession" is Vikram's motto as a soldier.

"No one will die on my watch again," lieutenant Batra tells Captain Sanjeev "Jimmy" Jamwal (Shiv Pandit), six months his senior in the Indian Army. "If there is any casualty other than the enemy, it'll be me," Vikram says.
