Mehta Story
The series is based on the on Sucheta Dalal and Debashis
Basu's 1993 book, The Scam: Who Won, Who Lost, Who Got Away
Set in 1980's and 90's Bombay, it follows the life of
Harshad Mehta, a stockbroker who took the stock market to dizzying heights
The new generation will get idea how the life was before the
arrival of internet and mobile phone.
The story is about the rise and fall of controversial stock
broker Harshad Mehta, shows the rags-to-riches story.
Harshad Mehta story is, a story of man who became very rich
using the loop holes of Indian Banking system and stock market and money
market.
Harshad was also called ‘Big Bull’ and ‘Einstein’, ‘cobra
killer’ and ‘cheetah’ and Amitabh Bachchan of Dalal Street.
He was the ‘common man’s hero’ who died in custody with 70
criminal cases and 600 civil cases against him.

Harshad Mehta
In beginning when you start to watch the series its very
slow start, because character building happens and as series story progresses it
becomes more interesting and you end up watching all 10 episodes in one or two
days.
The story starts with Rs 500 crore is missing from SBI's

Sucheta Dalal (Shreya Dhanwantary) in times of India office and runs away when
he gets opportunity and the investigation starts which exposes the loopholes of

jobber (a wholesaler in the stock exchange) to a designer suit-wearing stock
market advisor, a bull.
Here he learns the tricks of trading good and bad both
tricks and using loopholes he starts his journey of success. He becomes stock
broker also.
Series talks about BR (Bank receipts), SGLs (Subsidiary
General Ledger), PDO (Public Debt Office) and Insider trading, ones you
understand those terms you start to understand how the people were utilizing
the loopholes of system and Harshad did the same but he got caught.
Every actor gave his 100%, brilliant acting by everyone.
Problem with the web series is that it does not focus on any
other character, story movies around only Harshad Mehta even if he is in frame
or not.
The web series just focuses on Harshad Mehta and fails to
show that the scam was going on other big players were already using the
loopholes and were making money, fooling the system.
The web series shows the real video of Harshad Mehta with
Ram Jethmalani press conference where he shows How Rs. 1 Crore can be kept in a
suitcase and talks about Rs. 1 Crore Bribe was paid to former Prime Minister PV
Narasimha Rao but nothing happens as later on Harshad, system and everyone
forgets.
The story stars with Harshad and ends with the death of
Harshad Mehta.
