Dates for Legislative Assembly Elections 2017 for Goa
Punjab UP Manipur Uk
1-Nearly 16 crore voters will be participating in the polls.
2-There will be complete accountability of photo voter slips, colorful voter guides will be distributed to each family.
3-Height of voting compartment raised to ensure complete privacy.
4-Separate polling stations for women in certain areas, all-women polling stations will also be set up.
5-1,85,000 polling stations in all the five states for 690 assembly seats.
6-Ballot paper will have photo of candidates.
7-Voter assistant booth for physically challenged in each polling station.
8-Coloured voter slips for the first time.
9-ECI to distribute Voters' Guide to facilitate voters; there will be voters Assistance booth manned by officials.
10-Every polling station will have 4 posters for voting procedure and dos and don'ts
11--- Limit of expense is Rs 28 lakh per candidate in Punjab, Uttarakhand, UP and Rs 20 lakh in Manipur and Goa is Rs 20 lakh.
12--Candidates will be required to open bank accounts and expenses over Rs 20,000 will be by way of cheque from this bank account.
13- EC to clampdown on paid news.
14- Model code of conduct comes into effect immediately

It should be interesting to see how BJP 'performs' in these elections, especially after their bold moves in the recent past. Since they are contesting in their strong-hold states - namely UP, Uttarakhand, Goa, they should accept the verdict of people as the mandate for their recent policies.
