Inder works with his Uncle Lagoo.
Aarti Sanyal is a dancer in movie.
Uncle Lagoo asks the Inder to join him to watch the at Aarti Sanyal's concert.
On the way to the concert, Inder meets with a near fatal accident.

After recovering from accident Inder goes to Mandu to see the architectural beauty.
There he meets Aarti that is Hema Malini. Soon he learns that she is the famous dancer. Aarti tell him that she has left dancing six months back.
Aaratis grandfather tells Inder that because of one accident she left her dancing.
Soon Aarti and Inder become good friends and Aarti shares tells Inder about her love life , that is Chandan, she tell that six months back in one accident Chandan died on way to her Concert dance show.
Aarti tells that she has now only goal in her life is to publish the historical book written by Chandan.

Inder realizes that it’s the same accident in which he is involved.
Inder stays there and at last tells Aarti that in the accident in which her love life died he was involved.

Aarti becomes angree and tells him that she do not want his sympathy and she tries to snatch the book from the hands of Inder , the unpublished book but in that fighting Aarti falls from stairs.

Inder tries to meet her but Aaratis grandfather informs Inder that she hates his name also and meet her tomorrow.
But later, in late hours of night Inder hears the car going out and realizes that Aarti left him without meeting.

Inder goes back to his own town then his Uncle advise him that if he loves her he should go back and win her heart.

Now Inder realizes that he loves her and decides to win her heart.
Inder gets the home address of Aarti from the hotel registrar of Mandoo but he did not find them at that address.

Uncle of Inder finds the address of Aarti and they come to know the address of Clinic where Aarti is living and getting treatment.

Inder visits to the clinic where Aarti got eye surgery.

Doctor removes the eye bandage but operation fails and Aarti loses her eye sight she becomes blind.
Inder talks with her mother hearing familiar voice, Aarti asks her mother is there Inder, but doctor tells her that he is Prakash his friend. Doctor lies.

Inder now befriends with her as a Prakash and goes to her home regularly , he supports her to recover, takes her to Church and help her to start her dancing.

Inders Uncle tells advise Inder that he should tell the truth to the Aarti that he is not Prakash he is Inder, but Inder is afraid that he will lose her.

Inder arranges a dance show for her, Aarti earns money from that show and then uses that money to get the book published written by Chandan.
She hands over that book to Publisher but Publisher tells her that book is empty.

Then she goes back to her home. Later Inder visits her home as Prakash but this time
Aarti realizes the truth that he is Inder and not Prakash she tells Inder to leave.

As days go by Aarti realizes that she is living in her Past.
One day she visits with her grandfather to Church.
In church she again meets with Inder and they talk with each other.
She asks for forgiveness and tells him he is also part of her life and both Unite and become one.

An emotional family drama with great songs and great story.

Understand, Know Complete draft of NATIONAL LAND ACQUISITION
AND REHABILITATION & RESETTLEMENT BILL, 2011

The government on Friday released the draft Land Acquisition Bill prepared by rural development minister Jairam Ramesh which seeks to enhance compensation for landowners by up to six times, provides annuity-based payment for 20 years and limits the use of urgency clause to the "rarest of rare cases".


The draft Bill is being placed in the public domain as part of a pre-legislative consultative process. Comments are invited preferably before August 31st, 2011. Separately, the Ministry of Rural Development has launched initiatives to update and digitize land records and to move from a presumptive system to a conclusive system of land records.

Under our Constitution, land is a State subject but land acquisition is a Concurrent subject. So far, the basic law governing the land acquisition process has been the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Although it has been amended from time to time, it is painfully evident that the basic law has become archaic.

Land Acquisition and Resettlement & Rehabilitation need to be seen necessarily
As two sides of the same coin

LA = Land Acquisition
RR = Resettlement & Rehabilitation

1. This draft Bill seeks to balance the need for facilitating land acquisition for various public purposes including infrastructure development, industrialization and urbanization, while at the same time meaningfully addressing the concerns of farmers and those whose livelihoods are dependent on the land being acquired.

2. The objective is to make the process of land acquisition easy, transparent and fair for both sides in each instance.

3. The draft Bill is fully compliant with the provisions of (i) PESA,1996; (ii) Forest Rights Act, 2006; and (iii) Land Transfer Regulations in Schedule V (i.e., tribal) areas

4. There are 18 other laws of the Central Government for land acquisition (like for highways, SEZs, defence, railways etc). The draft Bill will enjoy primacy over other such specialized legislations that are currently in force.

5. This is the first National/ Central Law on the subject of Resettlement and Rehabilitation of families affected and displaced as a result of land acquisition

6. The Central Government shall constitute a National Monitoring Committee for reviewing and monitoring the implementation of rehabilitation and resettlement schemes or plans under this Act.

7. The State Government shall, for the purpose of providing speedy disposal of disputes relating to land acquisition, compensation, Rehabilitation and Resettlement establish, by notification in the Official Gazette, an Authority for the State to be known as the (name of the State) Land Acquisition Dispute Settlement Authority to exercise the jurisdiction, powers and authority conferred on it by or under this Act with regard to acquisition of land by the State Government:

8. The Central Government shall, for the purpose of providing speedy disposal of disputes relating to land acquisition, compensation, Rehabilitation and Resettlement establish, by notification in the Official Gazette, an Authority for the Centre to be known as the National Land Acquisition Dispute Settlement Authority to exercise the jurisdiction, powers and authority conferred on it by or under this Act with regard to acquisition of land by the Central Government:

9. Whoever willfully obstructs any person in doing any of the acts authorized by section 9 or section 15, or willfully fills up, destroys, damages or displaces any trench or mark made under section 15, shall, on conviction before a Magistrate, be liable to imprisonment for any term not exceeding one month, or to fine not exceeding five hundred rupees, or to both.

10. Whenever the ownership of any land acquired under this Act is transferred to any person for a consideration, twenty per cent of the difference in the acquisition cost and the consideration received, which in no case shall be less than the acquisition cost, duly adjusting for development cost shall be shared amongst the persons from whom the lands were acquired or their heirs, in proportion to the value at which the lands were acquired, and for the purpose, a separate fund may be maintained which shall be administered by the Collector in such manner as may be prescribed.


Scope of LAND ACQUISITION AND REHABILITATION & RESETTLEMENT BILL, 2011
Both LA and R&R Provisions will apply when:

1. Government acquires land for its own use, hold and control

2. Government acquires land with the ultimate purpose to transfer
It for the use of private companies for stated public purpose (including PPP projects but other than national highway projects)

3. Government acquires land for immediate and declared use by private companies for public purpose

Note I: Public purpose for 2. & 3. above, once stated, cannot be changed

Note II: Land Acquisition under 2. & 3. above can take place provided 80% of the project affected families give consent to the proposed acquisition.

Only R&R provisions will apply when:
1. Private companies buy land, equal to or more than 100 acres, on their own;

2. Private company approaches Government for partial acquisition for public purpose.

Note: Government does not envisage acquiring:
1. Land for private companies for private purposes.
Or
2. Any multi-crop irrigated land for public purposes

The following categories are considered as public purpose:

1. Strategic purposes: e.g., armed forces, national security

2. Infrastructure and Industry: where benefits largely accrue to the general public

3. Land acquired for R&R purposes

4. Village or urban sites: planned development -residential purpose for the poor and educational and health schemes

5. Land for private companies for public purpose

6. Needs arising from natural calamities

The Urgency Clause can only be invoked in the following cases:

1. National defense and security purposes

2. R&R needs in the event of emergencies or natural calamities

3. To be exercised in ‘rarest of rare’ cases

Salient Features of the Draft Bill –

Land Owners:
1. Family whose land/other immovable properties have been acquired

2. Those who are assigned land by the Governments under various schemes

3. Right holders under the Forest Rights Act, 2006

• Livelihood Losers:
1. A family whose livelihood is primarily
dependent on the land being acquired
2. May or may not own property

A Comprehensive Compensation Package (Schedule I)
1. Market value of the land:
a) the minimum land value, if any, specified in the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 for the registration of sale deeds in the area, where the land is situated; or

b) the average of the sale price for similar type of land situated in the village or vicinity, ascertained from fifty per cent of the sale deeds registered during the preceding three years, where higher price has been paid; or whichever is higher:

PROVIDED THAT THE MARKET VALUE SO CALCULATED
SHALL BE MULTIPLIED BY THREE IN RURAL AREAS.

2. Value of the assets attached to land: Building/Trees/Wells/Crop etc as valued by relevant govt. authority;
Total compensation = 1+2

3. Solatium: 100% of total compensation

This implies that in case of urban areas, the award amount would be not less than twice that of the market value determined, whereas in rural areas it would be not
less than six times the original market value

A Comprehensive R&R Package (Schedule II and Draft Bill)
For Land Owners:

1. Subsistence allowance at Rs. 3000 per month per family for 12 months

2. Rs 2000 per month per family as annuity for 20 years, with appropriate index for inflation

3. If house is lost, a constructed house of plinth area of 150 sq mts of house site in rural areas or 50 sq mts plinth area in urban area

4. One acre of land to each family in the command area, if land is acquired for an irrigation project

5. Rs 50,000 for transportation

6. Where land is acquired for urbanization, 20% of the developed land will be reserved and offered to land owners, in proportion to their land acquired

7. Upon every transfer of land within 10 years of the date of acquisition, 20% of the appreciated value shall be shared with the original owner whose land has been acquired

8. Mandatory employment for one member per affected family or 2 lakh rupees if employment is not offered

9. Offer of shares up to 25% of the Compensation amount

A Comprehensive R&R Package (Schedule II)

For Livelihood losers (including landless):

1. Subsistence allowance at Rs. 3000 per month per family for 12 months

2. Rs 2000 per month per family as annuity for 20 years, with appropriate index for inflation

3. If home-less, a constructed house (plinth area) on 150 sqmts of house site in rural areas or 50 sqmts in urban area, provided free of cost

4. A one-time ‘Resettlement Allowance’ of Rs 50,000

5. Rs 50,000 for transportation

6. Mandatory employment for one member per affected family or 2 lakh rupees

Special Provisions for ST’s

1. One acre of land to each ST family in every project

2. One time financial assistance of Rs 50,000 for ST families

3. ST families settled outside the district shall be entitled to an additional 25% R&R benefits (and a one time payment of Rs 50,000) to which they are entitled in monetary terms

4. Payment of one third of the compensation amount at very outset to ST families

5. Preference in relocation and resettlement in area in same compact block

6. Free land for community and social gatherings

7. In case of displacement of 100 or more ST families, a Tribal Displacement Plan is to be prepared: -Detailing process to be followed for settling land rights and restoring titles on alienated land; -Details of programme for development of alternate fuel, fodder and non-timber forest produce.

Minimum R&R Entitlements -
Continuation of reservation and other benefits from
displaced area to resettlement area for both SCs and STs

25 infrastructural amenities to be provided in the Resettlement area
Following are the 25 infrastructural amenities to be provided in the Resettlement area

1. Roads within the resettled villages and an all-weather road link to the nearest pucca
road, passages and easement rights for all the resettled families be adequately arranged.

2. Proper drainage as well as sanitation plans executed before physical resettlement.

3. One or more assured sources of safe drinking water for each family as per the norms prescribed by the Government of India

4. Provision of Drinking water for cattle

5. Grazing land as per proportion acceptable in the state

6. A reasonable number of Fair Price shops

7. Panchayat Ghars, as appropriate

8. Village level Post Offices, as appropriate, with facilities for opening saving accounts

9. Appropriate seed-cum-fertilizer storage facility if needed

10. Efforts must be made to provide basic irrigation facilities to the agricultural land
allocated to the resettled families if not from the irrigation project, then by developing
a cooperative or under some government scheme or special assistance

11. All new villages established for resettlement of the displaced persons shall be
provided with suitable transport facility which must include public transport facilities
through local bus services with the nearby growth centres/urban localities

12. Burial and/or cremation ground, depending on the caste- communities at the site and
their practices

13. Facilities for sanitation, including individual toilet points

14. Individual single electric connections (or connection through non-conventional
sources of energy like solar energy), for each household and for public lighting

15. Anganwadi’s providing child and mother supplemental nutritional services

16. School as per the provisions of Right to Education Act

17. Sub health centre within two kilometre range

18. Primary Health Centre as prescribed by the Government of India

19. Playground for children

20. One community centre for every 100 families

21. Places of worship and chowpal/ tree platform for every 50 families for community assembly, of numbers and dimensions consonant with the affected area

22. Separate land must be earmarked for traditional tribal institutions

23. The forest dweller families must be provided, where possible, with their traditional rights on non-timber forest produce and common property resources, if available close to the new place of settlement and, in case any such family can continue their access or entry to such forest or common property in the area close to the place of eviction, they must continue to enjoy their earlier rights to the aforesaid sources of livelihood

24. Appropriate security arrangements must be provided for the settlement, if needed

25. Veterinary service centre as per norms

Safeguards against indiscriminate acquisition –

Social Impact Assessment made mandatory where area to be acquired is equal to or greater than 100 acres;

• Chief Secretary Committee to approve ‘public purpose’ and approve the SIA report;

• Draft Notification to include:
– Summary of SIA
– Particulars of Administrator for R&R who prepares R&R scheme

• Draft Declaration to include:
– Summary of R&R package

• Return of Land: Land returned to original owner if not used in 5 years for the purpose for which it is acquired, one-fourth of the award amount for the land acquired– Provided government can use land acquired for a department to some other department

Transparency Provisions –
Social Impact Assessment
– Gram Sabha to be consulted
– Summary of SIA notified along with Draft Notification
– SIA document made available for public scrutiny

• R&R Scheme
– Summary notified along with Draft declaration
– Made available for public scrutiny
• Individual Awards passed

• Public Disclosure
– All documents mandatorily to be made available in the public domain and on the website


Penalties –
Punishment for false information, Mala Fide action, etc
• If False or Misleading Documents: Will result in the levy of a fine of up to one lakh rupees and/ or with imprisonment up to a month.

• If R&R benefits obtained on false information: Shall be recovered by the Appropriate Authority.

• Disciplinary Proceedings against Govt. Officers: A Government servant who is guilty of a mala fide action in respect of any provision of this Act and he shall be liable to such punishment (and fine) as the disciplinary authority may decide.

Awards –
Collector passes 2 types of Awards:
1. Award for Land Acquisition
– Award made in respect of every affected family whose land is being acquired and containing details of LA compensation as listed in Schedule I;

2. Award for R&R
– Award made in respect of every affected family, regardless of whether they may be losing land or not, containing details of R&R entitlements as listed in Schedule II.
Provided that Land will not be transferred until R&R is completed

The Collector shall ensure that full payment of compensation as well as rehabilitation and resettlement entitlements are paid or tendered to the entitled persons within a period of three months for the compensation and a period of six months for the rehabilitation and resettlement entitlements

The Land Acquisition Act 1894 as amended from time to time is hereby repealed.

Joint Commissioner of Police Himanshu Roy told to media that Finance manager Ravi Khanna along with Rajiv Malhotra and the third official, identified only as Rais, were nabbed by the economic offences wing of Mumbai police and brought to Mumbai from different parts of the country.
Roy said that police suspect fraud of Rs.1, 320 crore.

Government of Congress has rejected Jan Lokpal Bill and is planning to introduce their own Lokpal, a weak lokpal.


Now we Indians have no hope and no choice, Anna Hazare has no choice but to go on hunger strike from 16th August 2011.

Anna’s fast from 16th August is our last hope. We can’t afford to fail this time. For if we fail, we may never get another chance. Its now or never.

1st August to 9th August:
Many people across the country are forming small teams and undertaking short and long padyatras. They would talk to people on their way, hold meetings, distribute pamphlets

From 9th August:

Mass burning/tearing of government’s Bill as a mark of non-violent protest. Anna will start it most likely from Delhi or Mumbai.

From 9th August to 15th August:

People in villages, towns and mohallas will form teams and go for prabhat pheri in mornings singing patriotic songs and educating people about corruption and Jan Lokpal Bill. In the evening, there would be candle light and mashal marches.

15th August:
Switch off lights from 8 pm to 9 pm on Independence Day as a mark of support for the anti-corruption movement.

Fast starts from 16th August:
Government says they would crush Anna’s fast the way they crushed Baba Ramdev’s movement. We are ready for that. We will offer ourselves for arrest if the government decides to arrest us. We are ready to face their batons and bullets. But we will not move from there. We will not retaliate. It will be a completely non-violent movement.

But if the people take a week off from their work from 16th August and take to the streets- in front of their house, on the crossings, in parks, everywhere – with a tricolor in their hands, raise slogans against corruption – Government can crush one Anna, but it won’t be able to crush 120 crore Annas. Government could impose section 144 on one Jantar mantar. But will it impose curfew on the whole country?

If the whole country takes to streets for a week from 16th August, WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, can force the government to enact a strong Jan Lokpal Bill.

1. The government lokpal bill covers only 0.5% public servants.

2. There are more than 1.25 Crore government servants but only 65,000 Group A Central government servants will come under Lokpal.


3. Government Lokpal will not be allowed to take any action against Sarpanch or BDO but he will control social organizations and common citizens.

4. All the activities of common citizens will be monitored by Lokpal but not the government babus. Durga Puja and Ram Leela programs will be under purview of government lokpal


5. If any citizen files a case against the corrupt officer government will provide him advocate and all expenses but common citizen will be required to spend his own money. In this fight if citizen proves right the corrupt officer will be punished for six months only but suppose citizen fails to prove that the public servant is corrupt then he will go to Jail for 2 Years.

6. No one has power to investigate Prime Minister, they say CBI will do the job, but PM is the boss of CBI.

Today Congress party approved the bill and all the recommendations of their own politicians and rejected the Jan Lokpal Bill prepared by Anna.


The government version of Jokepal or Lokpal bill has kept Prime Minister and Judiciary
Out of reach of Lokpal.
The cabinet decided that the Bill does not apply to the PM while he or she is in office; the PM can be investigated after his or her term is completed.
There will be a seven year limitation period on Lokpal that is to say there shall be a seven-year limitation period for complaints. So the Lok Pal will not investigate a complaint over seven years after it is made.

The Lokpal or ombudsman will have a Chairperson and eight members - 50 per cent of them will be from the judiciary as will the chairperson, who has to be a serving or retired Chief Justice of India or Supreme Court judge. The non-judiciary members have to be "persons of impeccable integrity and outstanding ability,"

Jokepal Bill or the Lokpal bill does not bring all the politicians under lokpal.
The bill says only those in rank of deputy and joint secretary should be included. The investigation will be independent and time bound.


The removal of the Lokpal will be the prerogative of the President of India.

Who is the boss of President?
As per Indian constitution President of India is a rubber stamp of Prime Minister, thus Prime Minister can remove Lokpal whenever he wishes.
Thus Lokpal has become another servant of Prime Minister and his team which includes majority time’s criminals.

Today The BJP parliamentary board decided that Chief Minister Yeddyurappa must resign from the post of Chief Minister a day after being indicted in the Lokayukta's report on illegal mining in the state.

Ravi Shankar Prasad told to media that The Parliamentary Board unanimously decided that Yeddyurappa should send his resignation as Karnataka chief Minister. Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh will go to bangalore tomorrow for the change in leadership,"

But Yeddyurappa did not resign and he called meeting of his cabinet ministers and supporters.

BJP has ordered to the ministers not to attend the meeting which was called by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa.

The problem with BJP is that if they want to accuse Congress of corruption then BJP must show that BJP is clean party and BJP also takes action on accused politicians.

Its just compulsion that made the BJP to take action against Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa otherwise like Congress if there is no compulsion then no political party takes action on corrupt leaders.

BJP has issued a statement saying that any minister or party member who attends Yeddyurappa"s meeting will be sacked.

The BJP has already warned all party members in Karnataka to obey the party’s orders and not attend the meeting called by Yeddyurappa.

Reports have confirmed that 14 members of the legislative assembly are attending the meeting at the latter"s official residence in Bangalore.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set a 12-hour deadline for incumbent Karnataka Chief Minister to resign.

On Monday, Sampoornanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya's vice-chancellor professor Binda Prasad Mishra confirmed that Balkrishna's 'Acharya' degree - a copy of which was furnished to them for verification by the CBI has been found to be a forged one.

A day after the investigating agency registered a case against him for allegedly furnishing fake documents for procuring a passport Mr. Balkrishna had gone missing.

Mr. Balkrishna’s gunner Jayendra Singh Aswal lodged a missing person report in Kankhal Police Station of Haridwar on Monday as he failed to find and locate Mr.Balkrishna.

Patanjali Yogpeeth has not filed any missing complaint with police.
Acharya Balkrishnas personal secretary Gagan said: "We have no information about Acharyaji. I can't even confirm whether he is in Haridwar or not."

Haridwar SSP Kewal Khurana said that police have pasted the CBI notice outside Divya Yog mandir ashram residence of Mr. Balkrishna, in which he has been summoned to appear on July 28 for questioning in the investigating agency’s office.

The Haridwar Police is conducting an investigation related to missing Mahant Shankar Dev, patron and founder trustee of Divya Yog Mandir Trust and Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust.

mini-spaceship, crew capsule, solar arrays and propulsion system would have to be linked together in the middle of space, assembled in a way like the International Space Station but on a smaller scale.

A.Raja was arrested on February 2 for his alleged role in the 2G scam, today began his arguments opposing charges of cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy against him.


The CBI had begun its arguments on framing of charges against Raja and 16 others, including three telecom firms, from July 21 and had completed its arguments on July 23.

Advocate Sushil Kumar is representing A. Raja in 2G scam case.

Defending himself before a special CBI court for the first time, Raja said that he should be rewarded.

Arun Shourie and Dayanidhi Maran too had distributed licences instead of auctioning them as telecom ministers.

As Telecom Minster Arun Shourie distributed 26 licences while Dayanidhi Maran distributed 25 and me (Raja) distributed 122 licences. Numbers make no difference, however, it is to be noted that none of them auctioned the spectrum. If they had done no wrong, why am I being questioned? Let them deny that they have not done what I did.

I was just following the 2003 Cabinet decision that is not to auction 2G spectrum. If I am following the law, I am not liable to be prosecuted. In fact, I should be rewarded."

Raja submitted that it is because of his policy that mobile phone call rates came down and they became affordable to even a 'rickshaw wala'.

"It was my obligation to social justice that every man on the street should have a mobile phone. I am a servant of my people and I made the call rates of mobile phone so cheap that even a 'rickshaw wala' or a maid servant can be seen using it,"

Raja told special CBI court that he had sent back the 2G file to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the latter should have called for a GoM if he had found any discrepancies.

Raja also pleaded before court that Chidambaram be made a witness in the 2G spectrum case.

Raja's lawyer Sushil Kumar accused judge O P Saini of carrying out an unfair trial.

Raja said that Comptroller Auditor General Vinod Rai is legally illiterate and a mere accountant whose findings had no sanctity in Criminal Law.

Further Raja said that why Tata is not accused in this case. His lawyer said that
The CBI estimated Rs 22000 crore loss from this scam. Out of this Rs 14000 crore was made by the Tatas. That is more than half the amount mentioned by the CBI. Where is that man? Why isn't he an accused?"

NDTV has exposed another land scam involving Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his sons.

Land Scam Amount = Profit of 65 Crore Rupess or more

NDTV reported that


In October 2010, Mr CM B S Yeddyurappa denotified five acres of land near the Bangalore airport, intended to house the city's next IT hub.
This land had been acquired cheaply by the government from a farmer, D Inneshappa.
He demanded it be returned to him.

Davaligiri Property Developers Private Limited is owned by the Chief Minister's sons B Y Raghavendra and B Y Vijendra.
Mr Yeddyurappa's sons are also directors of the company run by Mr Channappa.

Mr Channappa seems to have served as a front in this land scam.

Mr Inneshappa sold three acres of the land to BG Channappa.
After twenty days, Mr Channappa sold the same land to Davaligiri Property Developers Private Limited.

For Rs. 2.65 crores Chief Minister's sons acquired land worth Rs. 65 crores.
They then sold one acre of the same land at huge profits to a mining company.

Lokayukta Santosh Hegde found that a part of this land was sold to South West Mining Company at 10 times the market price. The inference is that the company agreed to the sky-high prices in return for valuable mining leases from the Karnataka government.

The complaints upheld against three deodorant advertisements include

The Hindustan Unilever Ltd’s The Axe Effect advertisement - The Hindustan Unilever Ltd’s The Axe Effect advertisement - depicting a female security staff checking a man at an airport with a metal detector on his chest and arms. She is shown in a spell of lust and clinging to his body in a display of sexual passion overpowering her with the voice-over, “The Axe Effect”.

Paras Pharmaceutical’s Zatak Axe Deodorant - shows a boy going to a lady dentist after using the Deo. As he sprays the deodarant, the lady dentist is shown closing her eyes and moaning suggestively. When the boy says that he has toothache, the lady dentist is shown unbuttoning his shirt. She asks him to breathe and demonstrates it by sensuously thrusting her bust forward. In doing so, her white coat is off and her inner garment is clearly showing off her cleavage.

Paras Pharmaceutical’s Set Wet Deodorant advertisement - shows a man using the Deodarant and a female clinging to him in a passionate display of desire. An onlooker also tries the deodorant and soon a female is shown coming behind him taking off her garment and clinging to him lustfully.


The consumer complaints council of ASCI that is CCC in a meeting which was recently held concluded that these advertisements display overtly sexual desire and are also demeaning to women.
Keeping in view the generally prevailing standards of decency and propriety is likely to cause grave and widespread offence.
Since these advertisements contravened Chapter II of the ASCI Code, the complaints against these three advertisements have been Upheld.

During the meeting, CCC also noted Paras Pharmaceutical’s assurance that the Zatak Axe TVC would be appropriately modified.

once a complaint is upheld, the advertiser has to pull off the commercial within 48 hrs and then he/she has the option of either modifying it or completely withdrawing it.

The CCC during the same meeting did not upheld complaints against 4 deodarant advertisements

McNROE Consumers Products P. Ltd’s Wild Stone Deodorant - showing a woman who is blindfolded gradually removing her blindfold to cast a sensuous look at a man and then again putting it on. Thereafter, she is shown sensuously groping for the man. The woman is then shown removing her saree off in a seductive gesture, as the man is shown spraying the Deo on his body.

Mankind Pharma’s Addiction Deo - showing a man spraying the Deo and sending an ensemble of dancing women. One female is shown clinging to the man with a song in the background – “can you handle all my addiction?”.

Karnataka Lokayukta final report on illegal Mining indicts CM BS Yeddyurappa loss to state Rs.1800 Crore

Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde said the full report will be submitted to the Government on Friday

Hegde said chief minister Yeddyurappa's son's trust got Rs 10 crores from a mining company.

The report says that Janardhana and Karunakara Reddy received massive kickbacks for mining leases they granted.

Janardhan Reddy is accused of taking 40 per cent commission for smuggling out illegal iron ore, collecting money through front companies and running a parallel government in Bellary by paying bribe to every officer and cop.

The report says that state suffered and lost the environment also as laws relating to environment also not followed.
The breach of central and state laws has funneled an environmental disaster. Hills that were once green have been reduced to red dustbowls.
The report states that over 58 companies were involved in illegal mining, while 43 of them carried out their activities with support from politicians.
politicians held stakes in these 43 companies either directly or through their relatives.
mining owners allegedly paid kickbacks to Yeddyurappa through prerana trust, in which his sons were trustees, to continue with their illegal activities.

The report states that Koodligi MLA B Nagendra and Kampli MLA TS Suresh Babu were unauthorized iron ore dealers. They ran transport companies and played prominent role in ensuring a safe passage for the iron ore to the ports.

The ore had to cross about 27 check-posts to reach their points of destination.
From RTO officers, Peon and Constables every got the bribe.
More than 600 officers or officials colluded in the racket.

Kerala High Court orders Air India to pay damages of Rs.75 Lakh each to Mangalore Air Crash victim’s families

22 May 2010 –
Air India Express (budget airline of AI) Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Dubai carrying 166 people crashed outside Bajpe Airport in Mangalore (Karnataka) and burst into flames after overshooting a table-top runway. Mangalore Air crash killed 158 Passengers.

The flight's cockpit voice recorder data showed that the instrument had picked up snoring sounds indicating that the Serbian pilot Captain Zlatko Glusica had slept off for about 90 minutes and failed to pull up the plane after it lost control. He also ignored advice of his co-pilot.


After this accident national carrier Air India (AI) and insurance consortium tried to settle the case offering compensation based on the income of the deceased.
Majority victims belong to low income group and thus compensation amount offered to them was ranging between Rs.15 Lakh to Rs.35 Lakh Maximum.

Abdul Salam, who lost his son Mohamed Rafi (24) in the crash, was offered compensation of Rs.35 Lakh only but Abdul filed a case in a High court as compensation offered was very less. They said that they are entitled to get Rs.1.5 Crore as damages as per International rules and norms.

Families of the deceased had floated an organization, Mangalore air crash victims' Families Association, to fight their case.

After that Kerala high court ordered national carrier Air India (AI) to pay Rs 75 lakh each to families of the Mangalore air crash victims.
The court directed Air India to pay the compensation in a month's time
Justice P R Ramachandra Menon said Air India was liable to pay the compensation equivalent to 1 lakh Special Drawing Rights (SDR).

The compensation is one of the highest to be paid by the airline.

Special Drawing Rights (SDR) is a kind of International Monetary Fund currency
The SDR is a mix of currency values established by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As per the current value, one lakh SDR adds up to Rs.75 lakh.

The Montreal Convention, signed under the aegis of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in 1999, establishes rules concerning compensation for the victims of air disasters. The convention protects passengers' rights to claim compensation from either the airline or a third party like insurance companies.
India has signed the Montreal Convention.

The payout would be distributed over one year and will cost the cash-strapped carrier about Rs 118 core.

The petitioners' lawyer, Kodoth Sreedharan, said, "The court has given a direction (to Air India) to pay no fault liability of 1 lakh SDR with the balance compensation (whatever is claimed) within a month."

Media Reports Amar Singh may have paid money to Sanjeev Saxena to give to Mps as bribe in Cash for vote scam

Few days back Delhi Police submitted report to Supreme Court in cash for vote bribe scam but Supreme Court found no progress in the case and it ordered Police to file report again.


After getting fired or slammed by Supreme Court of India Delhi police acted and arrested
Sanjeev Saxena in a scam which happened in year 2008.
This was the first arrest made by Delhi Police in this scam.

Tis Hazari Court in New Delhi remanded Sanjeev Saxena to 3 days police custody.
Special judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal remanded Sanjeev Saxena to police custody till July 21.

In court Delhi Police said that Mr.Sanjeev Saxena was a close aide of Mr.Amar Singh Rajya Sabha MP who was then a senior leader of the Samjawadi Party.

Police said that Saxena has been booked for various offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

CNNIBN reported that Mr.Sanjeev Saxena told the police that he was working as Amar Singh's secretary for the last three years and that it was Singh who gave him the money to him to bribe the MPs.
Saxena also told the police that Singh's driver Sanjay had gone along with him to deliver the money - a fact corroborated by the 2 BJP MPs Fagan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora who have told the Delhi Police that Amar Singh had introduced Sanjeev Saxena as his secretary.

Saxena was reportedly introduced to three BJP MPs - Ashok Argal, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora - as a secretary of Amar Singh. He was caught on camera paying BJP MPs bribes ahead of the confidence vote.

Now police have to find the driver of Amar Singh with whom Saxena went to BJP MPs residence to hand over Rs. One Crore.

If police want they can even find that from which bank the notes were issued and who withdraw it.

Cash For Vote Scam No Progress Made – Supreme Court slams Delhi Police for its indifferent and insensitive attitude towards investigation

Cash for vote scam happened in a year 2008.
On July 22, 2008, three BJP members - Ashok Argal, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora - had placed Rs 1 crore cash in Lok Sabha alleging the money was given to them by floor managers of the UPA government to secure their support during the
No-confidence motion after Left parties withdrew their support over the Indo-US nuclear deal.


After that nothing happened in this case also.



Former chief election commissioner (CEC) J.M. Lyngdoh filed a petition in court demanding its directions to the government to take action against politicians involved in the scam which relates the trust vote faced by the UPA government in July 2008.

According to the petition, the incident had occurred on July 22, 2008, neither the Delhi Police Crime Branch which registered an FIR nor the chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee had so far taken any tangible step.

The petition demands that Supreme Court should direct the government to set up an independent special investigation team (SIT) to probe the allegations in a speedy manner.

Friday Delhi Police filed status report on the investigation, the Supreme Court said that it was not happy with it and pulled up the police on various grounds.
It also slammed the police for giving only some stories in its status report.

As soon as the matter came up before the Supreme Court, It was surprised to see the contents of Status report.
Bench said that this is not investigation. You are telling a story to the court on the basis of statement made by some people. There is no inference drawn up by you,"

The court expressed concern, saying "Investigation has been done with callousness on the complaint filed by Lok Sabha Secretary."

Callous means insensitive; indifferent; unsympathetic: They have a callous attitude toward the sufferings of others.

Indian Females most stressed The Women of Tomorrow Study by Nielsen Company List of 21 Countries surveyed Indian females get first position in stress

On June 28 Nielsen Company released the “Women of Tomorrow” study which studied or examined 6,500 women across 21 different nations from February through April 2011

The study report found that 87% of Indian women said they felt stressed most of the time, with 82% claiming they had no time to relax.

The study found that Indian women are more stressed and they spend differently.
Study found that Indian women will spend disposable income on themselves. Over three quarters said they would spend on health and beauty products, while 96% said that they would buy clothes.

Survey found that women in developing countries like India spend their additional income on clothes, health and beauty products, groceries and education for their children.

Women in developed countries spend their cash on vacations, savings and paying off debt.

Report also found that women in developing countries think that their daughters will have more opportunities than they had, while women in developed nations believe their daughters will only have the same opportunities as they had.
