    1. Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to."

    3. Nonsense! Where you take them to is so ridiculous, it's a lame excuse for people without originality.

  5. Vineet -- they are not straight copies. Most of these are inspired. And in certain cases the inspiration has left the original far behind as in "Dil Use Do" and "Aaja Sanam".. SJ have never directly copied.

  7. haha dude...inspired? inspired to make money use it to catch the attention and then it doesnt matter.. when the head o the song is taken inspired stolen ripped whatever you call it. and to top it all people refuse to listen to any originals when sung and are very arrogant about admitting facts. sucks.

  9. any way we are good in copying the songs.
Yes we copied our democracy, our parliament, our laws etc.
But one thing is sure , our copied songs are are more sweeter than the original ones. Just like our own Mangoes.

sj has around a hundred songs ..they haven't copied all...and most of the songs are after 1960's when people wanted to hear different type of music ...other than their classical type..so they put in a few notes in the beginning of some famous songs ...but the whole songs aren't copied.
