  7. RD Burman 'reused' his own tunes too....how many songs did he make on 'Mehbooba o Mehbooba...' tune...I heard few of them...all composed by RD.

    But he was a good composer and used different instruments.

  13. every one talks about RD Burman copying..do you all know ek hasina tha ik diwana tha from karz the guitar theme it is totally copied by laxmikant pyarelal as it is from the guitar tune played by some western composer tune to tune and completely no one discussed.
    even shankar jaikishan copied this song - kaun hai jo sapno me aaya...kaun hai jo dil me samaya... i have seen the video of this song of some english movie. google this you will get.

    no other md has that fan following as of RD Burman

  14. Copying is no crime. But passing it off as ones original creation without crediting the original is sacrilege and it speaks volumes about a charecter who is unwittingly idolized by hapless fans.
